odd question...what's the length of your dress?

I tried on my dress (just to make sure the right size was ordered etc)... everything was perfect and I'm really excited. My mom felt the dress however was too long (I had special-ordered it so we wouldn't have to take it up). The sales lady that when you walk the dress should fall just above your toe. It seemed a bit long to me as well but I'm just curious if anyone has tried on their dresses yet...where does the dress fall? Do you see your feet or just your toes when walking?

I also thought mine was too long, but the seamstress kept reminding me that it is a gown and is supposed to be long..I see only the tips of my toes when I walk (she made me walk around the entire store to prove to me that I wouldn't be stepping on it!)

Depending on the style of you dress, with a sheath, I believe you should be able to see your toes standing straight. With an a-line or ballgown, it should be short enough that you won't have to lift up the front whenever you walk.
