off to start the house/condo hunt!

DH and i are starting the hunt and are totally depressed about it. we stopped into a realtor's office for kicks yesterday in an area we would love to live in in NJ but the prices are just SO OUT OF CONTROL there is no way we can afford it...for now at least...

off to see another realtor today, different area, hopefully more in our price range. we may however hold off and wait another year or two and save a bit more...

how are others managing this process? it's crazy out there! 500-600K for SHACKS - W-T-F?

it does suck
My husband and I are in the process right now of selling our condo. We are moving to a new community in Coram in the next couple of months.

Are the prices really that out of control in NJ? I thought it was more reasonably priced?

it's totally area dependent...the areas i would like to live in i can't

we saw another town yesterday and i really liked it. still a little steep, but more doable...houses that i would live in START in the 450-550 range in this area...and they are few and far between....
