Anyone else struggling with losing weight? I'm just about 5 months away and I feel like I keep gaining and losing the same 7lbs over and over...

From where I am right now, I would really like to be about 15lbs lighter on the wedding day. I know I need to buckle down and stick to a healthy eating/exercise combo but life keeps getting in the way lol.

It's so hard to get motivated to be active working such long hours and harder to be good when it's my damn job to keep the pantry at work stocked with all kinds of terrible goodies

I used to struggle with losing weight for a few years. I am now at a point where I have lost about 50lbs (throughout my weight lost journey) and I have learned what works for me so I am able to maintain it.
The most important thing in losing weight is eating healthy and clean. To avoid purchasing unhealthy meals and snacks I prepare my meals in advance and bring them to work (this also includes snacks). This way I won't be as tempted to purchase unhealthy food.
And I know it's not easy but try to add some sort of physical activity in your daily routine. You can start by just walking for about 30 mins and as you go along you start to add more things to your routine.
I hope this helps! It has been a journey for me so I know how you feel.

Join myfitnesspal.com and count calories, that works for me. It really helps me monitor what I eat, keep myself honest, and hold myself accountable. It's easy to think twice about eating that piece of cake when I have to add it to my food diary and I realize it is half a days worth of calories!

Also, as mentioned above get into an exercise routine. Start sweating lol!!! The only way to lose weight is to have your calories in be less than your calories out.

I wish I was just naturally thin and could eat pizza, pasta, and bread and cheese all day long!!!!

It's hard trust me I know but like everyone else said tracking and working out will help you acheive your goals! I workout before work or I know that I will never make it to the gym after a long day @ work. I go everyday to the gym except Sunday. I get to the gym @ 5:30am. It's sucks but you get used to it and I love knowing after work I am done for the day! Good luck!

Once you get in to a routine it'll be so much easier and when you finally start seeing consistent results your gonna wanna keep going! You just have to find a strict diet and work out plan that works for you!

I would suggest taking a class whether its kickboxing, zumba, or spin or anything else you may be interested in, because in my opinion classes give you 10x more motivation than when you're doing it alone!

Good Luck! You can do it!!!!

EDIT: Wanted to add...

Try getting in to something with your FH too! Me and FH started working out together last year and it was such an amazing bonding experience and till this day we really encourage each other with our eating habits and work out routines! One of the greatest things we've started together.

I appreciate all the advice (tried it all, believe me!) For me, it's like I know what to do to get where I wanna be (and I'm doing it, trust me! I would kill for a bite of bread lol) but I just wanna comiserate a little bit with other girls going through the same thing, ya know?

it sucks but we'll get there! I've been SO good with eating and working out over the last few weeks but the scale #'s don't seem to be going anywhere.

I guess I'm just feeling a little discouraged because I tried on a sleeveless dress yesterday and I was not happy with how it made my arms look.

Well I def feel your pain....But, I think often we are way harder on ourselve than we need to be too (not sure if anyone saw those Dove youtube videos with the sketch artists). . .

The last few pounds are always the toughest! Especially if you have a healthy BMI. I have been struggling to lose 5 pounds for months!!!

I read this a few days ago, here is what Jillian Michaels recommends (easier said than done)!!!!

You're doing better than me! I am less than 4 months out and just started exercising a few weeks ago, but I've been so unmotivated to eat right.
I know sometimes the scale just doesn't show it for a while. Its sooooo frustrating. Sometimes you have to just forget the scale and go by how you feel. Hang in there, and I'm sure your hard work will pay off.

I'm glad i'm not the only one. I joined WW in Jan and have had a hard time sticking to it. This week FH and I started toing low carb, it has worked for us in the past. Its hard with low carb to still eat healthy. We do lots of lean meats, low fat cheese and lots of veggies.
Check out metabolism miracle aka metabolism b diet.
I hope to loose 45 more pounds before my finally fitting =/ I will be happy with 30. (seems impossible)

I hear ya! I used to be able to lose weight like it was nothing, now no matter what I do I'm lucky if I'm down half a pound a week. I almost feel like the small amount I lose isn't worth depriving myself!

It can be really hard. The last few pounds are always the worst. I weighed over 325lbs 5 years ago. I'm now stuck at 204. My goal is 190 by the wedding. I'm hoping to get there but I'm having a hard time sticking to my exercise routine lately, life just gets in the way. Good luck girls!

Yeah WW did not work for me. I think if you have a significant amount of weight to lose it can be great (my mom did it and lost about 35lbs!)Low carb tends to work better for me, but you're right about the healthy part - it is hard to get all the vitamins/fiber you really need. I'll def have to check out the metabolism diet! Thanks for the tip!!

This! I miss those days! When I graduated college it was sooo easy for me to get all those beer/pizza pounds off just by cutting out beer and pizza lol.
