Re: Official 05' Swan Club Thread
Hello Ladies !! My wedding isn't til Sep 05, but am so glad I found this site. I just booked the Contessa Room at the Swan Club and am very happy to see this site and all the information you gals are providing. It comes with some relief to see because my FH and I are paying for this ourselves and feeling so much better with the good feed back on the Swan Club. THANKS !!!

Re: Official 05' Swan Club Thread
I am also having my ceremony there but am a bit confused as to the rules of marriage. Meaning, since it is not a church do I have to go through all the religious details I would normally go thorugh in a church ceremony. Any help would be great. Also does anyone know if they allow live music in the 'greenhouse' I wanted violinist to play as my wedding party and I walk down the isle.

Re: Official 05' Swan Club Thread
Julie,
For your first question, the beauty of having your ceremony not in a church is the rules are totally your own to make. Music, flowers, etc have only the limits that your hall or ceremony place give you. I am pretty sure the Swan Club allows live music in the 'greenhouse' just ask your BM to be sure
Our cocktail hour will start at 6:30 and I expect to have between 100-120 max.
As you have a marriage license and an 'official officant' you should be good to go!

Thanks so much Jen, you have set me at ease. I really didn't want to have to add something else on my to do list. I am having about the same amount of people. When do you plan to send out your invites??

Re: Official 05' Swan Club Thread
I just had to change the time of my ceremony and wedding from 5pm - 1pm, which changed the location of my ceremony. Has anyone had their ceremony at the Swan Club and in what 'location' within the club.

Hello fellow swannies,
I am also having my ceremony there and I have an officiant and there is no rule on whether it needs to be religious or not. It's up to you. I will also have a violinst and cellist performing at the ceremony and there is definelty no problem with that as they have played there before. Happy planning
