I've decided that I'm a brat and wanted a Fox Hollow thread all my (OUR) own since 'The New Fox Hollow' thread is way, way old (and way, way long).

I would probably go down with my payment and ask to speak to a BM before making the payment. At least this way I would have face to face contact with someone. I don't know if that's doable for you or not.
That's a great idea. I don't live too too far from the hall so going in with the payment is doable.
I'm also going to the showcase on the 28th so maybe that will help as well.
All of a sudden I felt this rush of worry about the hall so thank you for the advice. I probably should have thought of that.....but oh well.

It's a shame Arthur has been there for 15 years. They seem to go through BMs like underwear! But even if you call with a question when your BM isn't there you can always ask someone else and I still found everyone to be helpful. As for Arthur, he was my BM and I wasn't notified. I send in my checks and mark it off with the check number on my contract when it's cashed.
ETA: I believe 2 months prior you finalize the menu and pick linens.

ya we were bummed to hear (on this thread) that he left! he was looking into see if they could get a certain brazillian liquer for us and was going to email us if they are able to get it or not- looks like we wont be getting that! Although Im sure we can ask someone else. I think I am going to ask at the event next week how the process works for details when it is closer to our date.

I have just realized that so many things need to be done '2 months prior' (invitations, hall stuff, flower stuff).....
...and wouldn't you guess two months before my wedding is Christmas. This should definetly be an interesting holiday season.

it isn't rude- its more out of curiosity. Im curious about that too. I just hope there isn't a sweet 16 the night of my wedding! I'd rather there be another wedding if anything.

is anyone having an hour and a half cocktail hour? I am interested to find out what this would cost to add a half hour to it. Our ceremony is at 7:30 and CH is at 8-9. I kinda want to do the ceremoony at 7 and CH 7:30-9. I wonder if this is too much money though or even possible!

I'm having a 1 1/2 hr CH. I didn't ask for it. With that my sunday evening reception won't end until 12:30! I may try to do the cake cutting a little early so that people who can't stay won't feel like they missed anything.

Does anyone know what room(s) the showcase is in??
I wanted to take some pictures of my room because one of my BM's is an interior decorater so she has all the software to be able to put in a pic of the room and change the linen colors and put my centerpieces on the table, etc ,etc so that I can see what my set up looks like before pick everything out.....hehe.

*bump* for other FH brides. I know I made another thread but this one seems to be more active.
I'm having my CH in the WGP and my reception in the Briar Fox.
I worked with Ron... ugh. I spoke to the manager and he said you are not stuck with anyone, and you can speak to anyone you like over there. Everyone should be able to help you. Ken is really nice over there and has been quite helpful.
I'm also using PWP for day of coordination i met James at the showcase back in march and went to a tea party in april and loved him.

I’m a new Fox Hollow bride! Though I suppose it’s not offical yet—we’re booking on Saturday, but we KNOW we have to have it there. The reception is going to be in the WGP which is the most beautiful room and more than I could have asked for. So far I’ve worked with Ken too—nice guy.

does anyone know the min for the Garden Terrace room? I'm booked for the Briar FOx room, but it looks small :( I fell in love it when i first saw it, but im not sure if its too small... FH says its just an illusion since the ceilings are so low.

I am so bummed that Arthur left.
I think I will post on the 07 boards to find out a little more on the timeline - like do they contact us or do we contact them?
I would love to get a sample of the menu cards (I am thinking of making my own or else decorating the cards they give us) and the placecards, etc.
