Hey all you 09 Swan Club girls! I figured since there are quite a few of us now, we could definitely start our own thread. I like using the past threads for some great ideas, but I also figured this is a good place for us 09 planners to post questions and share ideas.

ahhh thats soo funny... i woulda went weeks ago but FH kept putting it off... he somehow always has some kind of sport to play or sporting event to go to but the poor guy is now out of commission with a shoulder injury (praying eh doesnt need surgery) so im taking advantage of this... LOL

Well you guys are still ahead of us. Our wedding is in less then a month and we're just doing it now... we'll have to compare our thoughts.
I hope your FH doesn't need surgery either...

Im just doing it earlier bc I want to get our menus printed ASAP... we won them at TWOTY and its something id rather get out of the way... SC said its normally 1 month before your wedding so you're right on schedule

For anyone getting married at the Swan Club (or, has already gotten married there) - did your guests throw anything after the ceremony, like birdseed? Did you use bubbles?
(Our ceremony is in the Pavillion, BTW)
I don't want to call them about this stuff...figured asking here is as good as going directly to the source, heehee!

Hi, I'm wondering about rehearsal... my officiant is Pastor April and she had mentioned that we will rehearse on the day of, which will be just before the ceremony I guess I can understand this because I don't want her to charge me extra to come do the rehearsal on another day. But I think a routine rehearsal is still needed right?

I made an appointment to pick my menu so I could ask all these questions and the earliest appt they have is 7/1.

Yeah... they had earlier appointments but we'd have to come in during the day. let me know if they give you an earlier appt so I can call and complain.

actually, i thought he was lying to me bc when he cancelled on me, he told me the next avail after work appts he had was on 7/1 as well... so it must be the truth... kinda crazy though isnt it?!?
he said they are about an hour long so im sure we can both get that date if we wanted

July 1st is now all booked up Hope you are one of the ones to get that date... I'm now going on the next avail with is July 8th
ETA: If you are making up menus, you can send your app and entrees choices to our MD Joe @ [email protected] and he'll give you all the wording since we have to wait 2 years to choose our menu

DH didn't want a rehearsal dinner to begin with so it all worked out for us! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Ohh that's good to know... I was going to wait until we 'officially' picked our menu to print them up bc I was afraid they'd tell me one of my choices s*cked... but I dunno if I want to wait that long.

hey girls.... just wanted to respond to the linen color question. I went last weekend and picked the menu and linens. We ended up just going with the traditional Ivory linens, but from what i remember they had: pink green sage green navy red ???
I'm sure if you call they can rattle them all off to you...
