OFFICIAL 2009 Bridal Shower Thread

Original post by MRSin2009

In another post we were all talking about the 2009 bridal shower. I am making this thread to see how many people are interested in attending, so we can call places and get some pricing.

That sounds great Mazz!! Good suggestion....can we have a cash bar?

There is Villa Russo's in Queens. They have a nice party room and I heard the food is yummy.

Villa Russo

Package 2 is $23.95pp and package 3 is $29.95pp and it includes red and white wine

**edited to add**

I love that idea too, but I'm thinkin it may be good for us for the drive but tough for those in suffolk

I like Domenico's! And they do have that big room in the back...

As for the 'extra money', I just wanted to say that it was kinda my idea. But.... it was just a suggestion to round up the cost to cover extras (because tax and gratuity are extra!!) So say it would cost $22 pp, round it up to $25 or something like that... not an extra $10. Just wanted to clarify that

I understand... I just still think decorations and all that arent necessary, but if people want to do them on their own, then thats fine. I'm just not going to be putting money towards that. To be honest, I'd rather spend an extra 4-5 bucks on a beer than on ambiance

I'm in Suffolk... but if it is toward the Nassau side of Queens, I think it wouldn't make much of a difference

hahaha mazz you are awesome..

I agree, i dont think decorations are totally necessary...I feel like we should just get together, eat , drink and have a fun time..and if we want to exchange gifts cool

BUMP

So out of all the suggestions, I really think we should go with the Davenport like miche suggested. It's the best price we've been given ($17 i believe it was) and for those who want to drink, we can see if we can do a cash bar! We shouldn't be getting tanked anyways considering we're all probably driving...

Let's make this happen girls!!!

Davenport in Mineola

devenport sounds great to me... Never been there but it looks really cute and the price is great... they do have an unlimited soda option for $4 pp.... do we want to add that or make it everything cask bar incl. sodas?

I think all drinks should be cash bar just to make it fair to everyone b/c then we'll have thr girls who only drink water saying that they dont want to pay the extra $4 if they arent drinking soda... I feel cash bar will make everyone happy

I'm on Evite.com right now and they have an option in the invite to request payment from guests... that could come in handy!!

I used evite for my 30th and it worked out great, that is a great option.

My mom went to a shower at DPP and loved it. I think we should add on the $4 and add soda.

I am not a soda drinker but I don't mind paying the $4 I could get a ginger ale if anything. One soda at the bar must be $4.
