okay i just wanted to say how excited i am about the chateau la mer! i almost booked at the thatched cottage but when my dad called to book they said my date was filled......i was down but then i went to chateau la mer right after to see the place and fell in love!! everything happens for a reason......it will be a great night

what colors are you girls using?? i'm probably going with a raspberry color with accents of purples and orange.

I'm going crazy! I'm from Brazil and I'll be living here probably untill the end of the year, so I'll have to plan my wedding from here and on the few chances (because of my job) I have to go there.

I didn't even have the chance to go to the tastings, because when I was there to choose the place they didn't have it , my fiancce went on january and I'll go in july.


I'll need a lot of help!!

Welcome! Well this is the place if you need help from a distance. These ladies are doing a lot of work for me! I am also not living on Long Island and must do planning from afar. What are you in Brazil for? I wouldn't worry about the tastings too much, a lot of other Brides have loved their food. We haven't tasted either and will be in Long Island during July for the tasting. Maybe i'll see you there! Let me know if you hear about their July tasting dates!

So I'm guessing the tasting went well How dou they do it? Just bring out a little of all the entrees or do you pick what you want to taste?

Grr... I just typed up a whole thing and it didnt show up.

Anyway, lets try this again...We had an amazing time at the tasting. It was definitely much nicer than I imagined it would be. The place was decorated beautifully. They had candles all over and the fireplace going. The downstairs room was set up like the wedding would be. At night, the room has such a nice warm feel to it. We had mozzarella and tomato for an appetizer and a choice of ceasar or house salad. Afterwards, Lou came over and explained to us what would be coming out for dinner. We had about 10 different entrees that came out on a huge platter (these were the most popular dishes). They even wrapped up all the leftovers, there was SO much. We then had coffee and a variety of pasteries. They had the chocolate fountain out and other vendors were there too. It was so much fun! I am glad my parents got to see it too. SO excited!!
