Am considering CLM after all the glowing reviews...

What are their prices like for 2010? And what are they including? I like to know before I go and check it out... I'm flexible with the date...so much going on...could have in Summer or Autumn, Fri, Sat or Sun.

Depends if you want a day or evening wedding.

A Sunday Day wedding would have been $75/pp for me. The evening I think they wanted $95 or $105/pp. but I got them down a wee bit off of that

Ooh they're really pretty. Would have been perfect for my friend's wedding.. She had a beach/starfish theme.

For you girls that have the upper room like me I just want you to know that they had the bathrooms redone for our room!!!

I was there Tuesday to leave another deposit and as usualy I always go scope out the place and saw the new bathrooms, BIG IMPROVEMENT!

I didn't look at them but when you walk in they are right on the right I believe.

Maybe it's only me but...anyone else have trouble pronouncing chateau la mer?? I feel like the 'mer' never sounds right when I say it and feel like an idiot when people ask where I'm getting married. Does it rhyme with 'dear' or 'hair'?

non CLM er crashing.

i grew up down the block from it... and i have always pronounced it rhyming with hair. so did everyone else i grew up with.

find a french person and ask them. lol. i asked a french person and they pronounced it rhyming with hair, but i know a lot of brides say it rhyming with dear

Yeah, I'm totally confused. Every time I say it, it's different! I asked when we booked how its really pronounced but forgot what they said. Oh well

ha ha so funny. I always feel silly. I used to say mer that rhymes with grrr lol. I think I'll say mer like hair.

May 28th!!

I'm going crazy! I'm from Brazil and I'll be living here probably untill the end of the year, so I'll have to plan my wedding from here and on the few chances (because of my job) I have to go there.

I didn't even have the chance to go to the tastings, because when I was there to choose the place they didn't have it , my fiancce went on january and I'll go in july.

Welcome! Well this is the place if you need help from a distance. These ladies are doing a lot of work for me! I am also not living on Long Island and must do planning from afar. What are you in Brazil for? I wouldn't worry about the tastings too much, a lot of other Brides have loved their food. We haven't tasted either and will be in Long Island during July for the tasting. Maybe i'll see you there! Let me know if you hear about their July tasting dates!

Well I'm from Brazil!!! And I don't know too many people that can actually help me there besides my fiance and his family...Long Story!!!

I didn't start anything yet, I've been so busy!! I Didn't even decide the main colors or anything like that yet..

I have to start soon, at least with the big things before it's too late and everybody good is booked...

Where is everyone planning on taking pics? Is there a small beach near CLM? I thought I saw some pics on here from other CLMers who had beach shots. Anyone know anything?

I'm not sure. I'm doing all mine at CLM since we're having the ceremony there.

yes there is a small beach area a few blocks away from CLM , its called Venetian Shores. I will prob stop there just for a lil while to take a few pics since I do want to have some beachy pics. Its not a complete beach since its on the same bay as CLM , but it still a nice area. I really want to take pics at the old westbury gardens and then a few pics at the venetian shores but not sure if i will be able to fit it all in timewise
