Does anyone know of hotels in the area? I have to block off rooms but the ones in the folder clm provided were in huntington I think..Is there any hotels closer?

there is a hotel in farmingdale on 110 (by the airport, walmart etc....) i think its a marriot?? maybe try them......thats not to far from CLM

Okay, so I'm a little annoyed. I got FM from a girl on here telling me that she went to a tasting at CLM and the food was not impressive. Why would she tell me that knowing that I booked with them???

I know! She was on the BHB board and was asking for RH suggestions so I told her to look into CLM and she FM'd me to tell me that she was a chef and didn't like the food. I haven't had a tasting yet but heard the food there is great. I shouldn't let it bother me I guess. I just would never say that to someone.

BOOO I don't like to hear stuff like that! We LOVED the food. When I went to the Fox Hollow bridal expo, so many vendors were complimenting CLM for their food. Everything was really fresh and well prepared. You will see when you go to the tasting. It went above my expectations.

wow......i went to the tasting and the food was sooooooo amazing.....we went with a total of 6 people and all of us loved the food!! Don't let it bother you.....no worries!!!

to all of the April - June brides....what have you booked so far? i feel like i am very behind. we only booked the hall ( obviously) , church and photos. I also have not registered yet. I am dying to register but I feel like it might be too early? I dont want things to be discontinued by next May. Also, do you plan on booking with any of the house vendors ? We booked Duet for photo, so that helps with their meals! haha.

Hi! I was feeling behind too but I'm trying not to stress. I booked the hall and tomorrow we are booking Duet too!! I didn't know that was a house vendor. That is great news. So far I booked photographer, video, and dj. I didn't use any house vendors though. I thought about registering but I figured that things would change by the time people will actually be buying off the registry so I might as well wait.

hmm..im like 90% sure Duet is a clm vendor....the very first time i checked out clm they gave me a Duet brochure along with all of the other house vendors. I think they are still updating their website bc not many vendors are on that list? We are having our ceremony at St. Anthony's in Oceanside.

Well that is great news! We were debating between Duet and Velvet studios. One of our negatives for Duet was that we thought it was not a house vendor. We are choosing Duet anyway because we just LOVE their style and the way they set up their albums. Which team do you have? I am so excited to book tomorrow.

You are def making a great choice with Duet. We chose Nicks team. There were 2 other teams already taken for our day...i believe tj and jay. I really liked Nicks work though. Who are you choosing?

My only concern and I don't mean this in anyway offensively, is that the individual we were working with had a hard time speaking English. (this worries me only because I fear communication issues)I am assuming that we are not going to really be working directly with him but rather the photographer. Some of the other places were a little more personable. We just haven't found any other photographers that had such amazing work for such a great price. Did you get to meet your photographer? and was this your experience too? We are not sure which photographer we are getting but we would really like to have Alberto's team. I like Nick's work too.

I am getting married at st. killians church......i was baptized, communion and confirmation all at that church so why not marriage also lol! I love that church though........as far as what i booked i'd have to say we got a lot accomplished! we booked dj, photographer, flowers and i ordered my dress!! so i'm going to relax now.....i didn't register yet, i feel like its a little to early for that

Yes, Duet is a house vendor. I went with Alberto's team, I hear he speaks English fine.
I am getting married in July and have decided to have the ceremony at CLM, have booked the photo- Duet (Alberto's Team), booked the DJ (FM Entertainment) who is not a house vendor, and am booking the florist in two weeks, when I am in long island.
I also plan on starting to look for a wedding dress.
We just registered at bbb, macy's and honeyfund.com (honeymoon registry). We are having our engagement party in the beginning of July. I decided not to register for fine china so we barely have enough gifts for the engagement party and bridal shower on our registry that is why we opted for a honeyfund (FREE)!

Anyone hear anything more about the renovations to the ceiling in the upstairs room?
I know they redid the bathroom when i was last there in March, I go back in May for the next payment... hoping it will be done by the summer. Can't wait to see it.
