So many other RH's have their own threads... I searched but couldn't find one for the Woodlands... are there even enough of us on here to have an official Woodlands thread???
I decided to add the list of 2010 Woodlands Brides... there aren't many of us!!!
I am doing all high as well... I'm also having a smaller wedding and probably only 12 tables so I figured the low CPs would just get lost in the room. I need something to fill the space.

I am doing all low centerpieces. I saw the way the room looked in pictures with low ones and I LOVED it. I think the room is soooo pretty and I want the rooms details to be the main focus.
I've seen the room both ways and they both look beautiful! We can't go wrong because the Woodlands is sooooooo beautiful to begin with!
FYI - I was there this past Sunday and they replaced the dance floor. They made it a little wider and the wood they used is lighter so it appears larger. Looks great!

oh wow thats awesome...i didnt know they were going to be doing anything to the dance floor!

I had no idea they were doing this either... That's awesome!! I haven't been there in so long. I don't think I'll be there again until they need our next payment.

i was thinking about doing half high, half low centerpieces. i also wanted to do half oval and half round tables. melanie said they could get them for me. so tall centerpieces on the round tables and low CPs (like 1 big and 2 small) on the ovals.

My wedding is in the afternoon so I went with a pretty basic DJ package. The only thing I added was a saxophonist to play during dinner... I think at night though the uplighting would be awesome.

It really is a gorgeous place... I think the problem is the price. We priced out a Saturday night in October and they wanted a 175 person minimum, $165pp +20% gratuity +tax... That's a lot of money when you can get married a lot of other places on a Saturday night for a lot less. And that is why we're getting married on a Saturday afternoon!!!

Wow! I am really happy to hear that about the dance floor! One of my concerns was that the dance floor was on the smaller side.
I think I'm going to do a mix of high/low or all low CP.
I was thinking about the oval tables. How many ppl do u think could sit at each table??? Melanie told me 10-12, but I think that 12 might be tight.

i have considered adding amber uplighting to the room. i think it would add a really nice glow...but i felt the same that other colors wouldn't really go with the decor.

Yes, the price is on the higher side. Even in the winter it's high because of the fireplaces, it's still in demand. I love The Woodlands so much that I was willing to compromise with the budget in other areas so I can have my wedding there.
I'm not doing uplighting, I think the room is so pretty and I personally love the way it looks like your in someone's home, very cozy. I'm just going to have lots of candles.
I'm also doing a very basic DJ package, no extras.

yeah thats why i haven't booked it yet...im gonna see how money is later on and i can always add it, but its the type of thing thats not necessary at the woodlands so i will wait and see.

We are just starting to look into the music and consider lightling. I have loved this effect at other weddings I've been to - but I think most colors would not look right in the room. I would love to see pictures of someone who used lighting in the past - otherwise hooray for one thing we can save on. :) :)

I'm not a Woodlands Bride but I just wanted to say that I really like this place! I think it's so pretty and unique. . . The golf course it's on is gorgeous and the place itself is so charming. I LOVE the photos people take infront too, they always come out looking awesome! Just wanted to throw out some love to the Woodlands, I definitely think it's one of the nicest places I've seen on the Island to get married!
