So many other RH's have their own threads... I searched but couldn't find one for the Woodlands... are there even enough of us on here to have an official Woodlands thread???
I decided to add the list of 2010 Woodlands Brides... there aren't many of us!!!
I'm not a Woodlands Bride but I just wanted to say that I really like this place! I think it's so pretty and unique. . . The golf course it's on is gorgeous and the place itself is so charming. I LOVE the photos people take infront too, they always come out looking awesome! Just wanted to throw out some love to the Woodlands, I definitely think it's one of the nicest places I've seen on the Island to get married!
Thank you so much for the love....that is very sweet of you. It means a lot, especially coming from an Oheka bride!
Oheka Castle is to die for ......you are going to have such an amazing wedding!

Quick question girls...what hotel are you using for your OOT guests? FH wants to use the Melville Marriott but I worry that it is too far away. I think it's prob fine though--it's maybe 15/20 min from The Woodlands. We were also considering the Four Points, but worried it would sell out quickly since it's a smaller hotel Thoughts??

We blocked rooms at the Four Points Sheraton. I also looked at Fox Hollow which was beautiful but I felt it was too costly for our guests.
Four Points gave us a good rate and I was very impressed with how clean it was!!!!

I just went tonight and made a deposit --> July 23, 2010 Add me in!!!
When my FH and I visited this location - I knew this was it! It was so us! Completely non-wedding factory, 1 venue at a time, unrestricted access
Have you guys started looking at their suggested vendors - are the pricing reasonable?
Is anyone having their ceremony on site? If so are you planning on having music...
Let me know what you ideas on how to decorate/use the Woodlands...

We are booked at the Hilton Garden Inn in Plainview. They gave us a better rate than any of the other hotels and their shuttle was pretty cheap too!

Welcome!!!! I added you to our small but growing list
I am having my ceremony on site. We're having a string quartet... The Vintage String Quartet. I loved their music and the fact that they play some modern songs which sound great as instrumentals. I thought it would be a fun twist for the cocktail hour as well. I think their recommended Strings person in St@n We!st who I have personally had a bad experience with plus his prices are through the roof compared to some of these other vendors.
I think the only two house vendors I am using are After Hours Entertainment for my DJ and Pedastals as my florist. AHE seemed to have around the same prices as everyone else and from what I have heard other girls quote I think Pestals is probably a little more pricey but they do great work.

This is an older thread... that show case was back in May but I think they do another one in the fall. Who did you book with? Try shooting her an email and see if they have a date for the next one.

I am doing all low center pieces.. i am doing 2 square 7 x 7 glass vases each surrounded by candles on each side per table.. All mini penioes type flowers it should look great! I think short work best bc the tables are so long you need to fill out the space not up!

Just wanted to say 'Hi'. I'm another Woodlands bride. Glad to see their is a thread just for us now. What an amazing place to be getting married. I can't wait. Please add me to the list.
P.S. I'm doing all low centerpieces with ivory colored roses and lots and lots of candles. Saw a picture of the room like this and fell in love.
