Re: ***Official African American Brides Thread***
Okay ladies NEW TOPIC: Who is your florist and why did you select them? Can the 07' and 08' girls who have already booked their florist post pics of the centerpieces they are doing. Most of us 09' girls are going to start meeting with these types of vendors in late 07'.

I haven't started looking into flowers, but I did by these Swan Centerpieces and I like the way they look with the flowers. So I will probably do something very similiar but with my colors.

Hello Ladies,I am so confused on what to give as favors.
I was thinking about the bottle of wines, red and white with personalized labels or the LOVE glass coasters and the bottle stoppers. Any ideas, please help, your feedback is greatly appreciated.

I am using Rob from Pedestals. He's really great and worked well with FH and I (especially since we know nothing about flowers!). He also works with any budget. I don't have pics of my centerpieces yet since we just booked, but we are using low ones surrounded by votives.

FH and I are making donations to a diabetes cause, since both of our parents are diabetic. we will make copies of the certificate and put them on each tables for our guests. with a story to explain the meaning of the favor and what it means to us and our family.

Yes I'll definitely be writing one! I love reading them and they're super helpful! You girls better do one!
I think Angela (Jayla) was referring to those people who put 2012 as their date. I've seen that quite a few times and have wondered the same thing. I assume their wedding date passed and they want to keep it private for whatever reason.
Happy Birthday to Andrea's daughter!
Okay wait... no drinks yet ...

Re: ***Official African American Brides Thread***
That happens because sometimes bride on here try to cancel people's vendors by pretending to be them. For example, if you know I am using Duet on your date and you want them, you will pretend to be and cancel the date so that you can book.
Or sometimes people will go back to vendors and say you are giving her such and such, why am I not getting that deal.
So people do not disclose their identity for that reason.

I also believe that is why people give unbelieveable dates

So glad this thread is moving. I have a question, where are you girls getting hair and make-up trials at. I don't have a hair person that I go to, I could use some suggestions.

I'm actually thinking about doing the same thing. Donating to the American Heart Associations and the Diabetes Associations as both diseases have affected family members. Have you started the process?Actually this is a response to shell84
