Re: ***Official African American Brides Thread***
My planning is going well...My cousin is doing my makeup (she used to be a makeup artist), and i as far as my hair is concerned, i have this Jamacian woman that i've been going to for years... Even though i've moved to staten island and she's all the way in brooklyn...I still take the 2 hour trip to get my hair done...thats how good she is. I gotta say, its a big relief that this thread is here. I was beginning to think i was the only AA bride on liweddings.com lol

I am definately having 'black/rum cake'. I am Guyanese and my family would have it no other way. For the groom's cake, i am surprising my FH with a replica of his favorite car and that cake will be regular American cake.

We are using Men's Wearhouse since all of our GM are out of town. It's more convenient for them.

Re: ***Official African American Brides Thread***
For make up I am using a girl from Mary Kay and it was free if I booked her. She is in Westbury. For hair I am using a girl my sister recommended. She is in Wyandanch. Her hair trail is just the cost of the weave and hair style, the day of is just $40.
