I have a question. Is anyone doing black cake?

Hi my name is Michelle and I have been dying for a board like this.

Yes I am doing black cake with icing and all.
We are doing a sheet cake which we will cut at home and put in decorative boxes.

I am having 2 cakes. One regular cake included in my RH ( i ahve not decided on the details on that cake yet) and then my Aunt is making me a Black Cake. I will have a small black cake for show at the wedding and then we are also doing the sheet cake and cutting it up and putting it in decorative boxes the night before. The weddig cake form the RH will be served at the wedding and the Black in the boxes will be for everyone to take home.

Re: ***Official African American Brides Thread***

Hi Ladies! I'm Kyona. This is new to me so forgive me if you're on a new topic.
I love Cake Man's red velvet cake. I'm thinking about ording a small one for my bridal party. We may call it the 'grooms cake'. Everyone else can eat the cake from the catering hall. I'm also going to cut up the traditional (black) rum cake as a favor.
This thread is a great idea! I can't believe this is my first time seeing it.
