The steel band sound nice....i'm already having entertainment at my wedding (Polish folk dancers), so i won't be doing the steal band...but that would be really exciting
Polish Folk Dancers.
How do you think your family memebers are going to react to that?
Believe it or not, but I love Polish dancers. My co-workers is Polish and we went to his daughter wedding and she had dancers. They were GREAT!
Will you also have a DJ?

I actually considered using someone in the subway but I was worried he wouldn't be reliable. Did you sign a contract? I'm sure he'll be much cheaper than a band. Are you concerned about him not showing up?

I think my family is going to love it....plus this is a way of honoring his family and culture. I can't wait to see the look on everyone's faces...

Is the cocktail hour entertainment part of your RH count? Do you have to feed them?

I don't belive that the entertainment is part of your head count, and you definately do not have to feed them (OMG that sound so bad
). But i guess it all depends on your RH....I mean they are just there for like an hour. All my vendor are provided by my RH, so i dont need to pay to feed them...they eat for free

How is everyone doing? How is the planning?
My planning is at a standstill. Now that the RH is booked I've now started researching colors and themes. From there my save the date cards/magnets, invites, etc..... I have a while so I'm taking things slow.
Question for you ladies: My wedding is scheduled for a Thursday night. The banks are closed the next day due to July 4 falling on a Saturday. (Hence my jbob & FH's jobs are closed) When I told my sister it's on a Thursday night she complained. To move it to Friday night is an extra $3,000 for 100 guests. Should I suck it up, pay the extra $3,000 & move it to Friday night or stick to my budget & keep it on Thursday night?

Very interesting question - If you and your FH want to have it on a certain date then you should not let your sister dictate anything. However, what is her reasoning for not wanting you all to get married on a Thursday night?? Are there other members of your family that oppose it?

For make up I am using a girl from Mary Kay and it was free if I booked her. She is in Westbury. For hair I am using a girl my sister recommended. She is in Wyandanch. Her hair trail is just the cost of the weave and hair style, the day of is just $40.
How much is the trial/weave???? Wyandanch is real close too Bayshore. Can you post or FM me the information
