princessjen,
how soon are u sending out u'r save the dates? have u received mailings from magnet street? i'm not sure if i want to do that or do my own.. my mom is planning my engagement party for sept 1st so i'm prob gonna throw some attnetion to that...
i've got my colors together -or at least i thought i did till i saw those hideous gowns at davids bridal.. and none of them in the colors i want..
I plan on sending mine out 1 year in advance. Since the wedding is set for a holiday weekend I want to give everyone from out of town to make arrangements & serach for cheap fares.
I haven't received any mailings from magnet street yet but I think the magnet is a good idea.
The only color I have so far is champagne. I've toyed with the idea of pink, ivory & champagne but have settled on anything yet.
Where's your mom hosting your e-party?

is anyone going to personalize their aisle runner??
I was contemplating it but my budget re-analysis killed the idea. Plus I realized I wouldn't use it any other time. It's very nice but I woulndn't be sure what to do with it afterwards... hang it on my wall??

Re: ***Official African American Brides Thread***
I don't think I will be doing an OOT bags. I think by that point, I will be out of money, out of time and out of patience. And also most oot guests aren't familiar w/ LI weddings to begin with. I doubt they will be expecting anything.

Calm and in control is my way of keeping sane - If I start to bug out then I know there will be a disaster. I refuse to be stressed during one of the most memorable events in my life!!
OOT Bags - I am putting in snacks and water - and something that explains what there is to do in the area really simple!!

The few OT people will be staying with relatives so I am not booking hotel rooms or doing OOT bags.

Allot of FH's family is from OOT but we're not doing bags for them as they come to NY very frequently & are familiar with the area.

Nope. This is one thing I saw no use for as well as pretensious (sp?) no offense to anyone doing it.

I went to a tasting at CB last week. Everything was so tasteful!
