I was wondering if anyone has booked there limos yet? I think I asked this awhile ago but we just recently readressed the topic and I really need to book a place and was hoping someone might have suggestions? Also is anyone doing a bus for their guests? I was planning on providing a coach bus to and from the reception for my guests and wanted to know if anyone else was doing this and if so if they had any ifo? Thanks is advance.

I'm using Royalty Limos in Franklin Square and I am also getting a bus for guests to and from the reception site. I know people who have used them and they were happy.

I also have another very nitpicky question. When I visited deSeversky, I noticed the linens were wrinkled. Is it too over the top to request that they be ironed or pressed before the wedding???

Absolutely NOT over the top. That's embarrassing. Just mention it to Debbie that you noticed they were wrinkled. Total BS is they think they can put wrinkled linens on the tables. Unacceptable anywhere no less at deSeversky.

They had the best rates.

I called Coachman on Jericho tpk for buses. they have actual coach buses. i call them the Alantic City buses... the ones that hold 52 ppl. not just the party buses.
does anyone have photos of the new curtains? i am dying to see them!

Thanks so much for the limo information. After getting your suggestions I actually went to both Royalty and Coachmen. However, I am still uncertain as to what I should do. Royalty was in fact a very good quote but I had a bad experience with both places. I got lost going to coachmen so I called for directions and the person who answered basically told my FH to figure it out and then questioned whether we really had an apt. Then at Royalty then man we met with brought us to the show room and after looking at the limos and discussing prices with us he got on his cell phone and made us show ourselves out. I found that to be unprofessional and got annoyed but then because the price was so great I convinced myself I was making it into too big a deal. So my FH decided to call back to ask a question and give a deposit and was told that they were too busy with other customers call back Friday. After hearing that it made me not want to do business with them. Has anyone else had problems with limo companies or is it just me? I am so frustrated!!! This has not happened with any of the other things I have booked. Any help or suggestions???

Oh I have a couple more question-sorry to inundate everyone with all these.
I was wondering if anyone was having flower girls and if so they had any suggestions on dress places? I have gone to a few bridal stores but none have had a very big selection.

Also I was at DeSeversky this week dropping off a check and noticed that they have done so many renovations.
The men's room has be re-done
They have re-wall papered the hall outside the bathrooms
They got a new chandelier
The curtains are obviously new
Last but not least they put in lamp posts outside which will be very beneficial to anyone doing an outdoor cocktail hour

I wanted to speak to Debbie while I was there but she was in a meeting with clients-I was going to ask if they have oval tables? Does anyone know?
I know I have been saying forever that size is not a problem but as it gets closer I am starting to worry. I can't really cut my number too much either because I changed some things in my contract and because of that had to guarantee 130 guests.

Liznmike: I am using DoubleDiamond limos. They are out of Brooklyn and were recommended to me by my DOC. I found them to be really professional. www.limos4u.net Check them out. SomethingBlu used them too.

My advice? Aren't you using Rosalie? I know that she has a lot of clout and that she always goes the extra mile. Doesn't she also have a good relationship with Manny from Royalty? I would ask Rosalie to use her DOC muscle to assure you a good deal. I've heard so many positive reviews about Rosalie, I don't think she'd let you down. I also doubt that the limo company that she sets you up with is going to do anything to tarnish their rep with her and therefore you as her client.

I'm nervous about the space issue too. My darling DH to be seems to think that we should invite every Tom, **** and Harry and I want to keep it 130 or lower. He wants to go all the way to 150. Oi!

Manny was a bit abrupt when I went there, but the price was good and everyone I know was happy with Royalty.

I'm still having a dilemma with the space between pictures and cocktail hours. Ceremony is at 3, cocktail hour is at 7. What the heck should I do with the bridal party and other family members while taking pictures at DeSeversky? I was quoted 20 pp for beer and wine, but that will end up beind costly. Any suggestions?
