I just thought of something. How many times have you heard someone say, 'Oh, I know a good trick- It worked for me' You know- Like club soda getting a stain out. That kind of stuff. I thought it'd be a really cool thread to get started. I'll start....
To keep flowers fresher longer..... Crush an asprin & mix it in the water! I always get at least 2 days longer.
Ran out of conditioner & have no time to run out & get more? Grab a Bounce fabric softener sheet (or any fabric sheet) Fill a cup with warm water & let the sheet stew around in it for a few minutes. Pour the water on your hair! INSTANT CONDITIONING! Works wonders for fly aways, too.
Dry lips? Try 'waxing' them. Take a piece of Scotch Tape, and apply it to your lips, then peel off gently. All that dead flaky stuff is now on the tape, not your mouth!

to clean off really disgusting pans, i.e. lasagna, fill the pan with water and a used dryer sheet and let it sit. it will remove everything that burned on the pan and make it look like new again!!!

here's one that fh showed me: to get rid of hiccups:
put your fingers in your ears and drink water slowly through a straw.
or if you dont have a straw, have someone hold the cup to your lips to sip slowly
it works everytime!

my gram also told me to use the actual dryer sheet to scrub the pan then wash as usual...it works
dryer sheets can also be placed in teh bottom of outdoor garbage cans in the summer to keep maggots away

Ladies - the BEST thing for shaving - THE BEST.... I cannot shave without getting those horrid bumps, rashes, etc - and I normally shave everything (but right now after being sick I'm a wookie...)
I usually spend a lot of money on expensive moisturizing exfoliants, but I read this in a magazine, tried it, and have sworn by this ever since-
Before you shave, mix up olive oil and epsom salts in a container, so it's still grainy, and exfoliate with that - it will make your skin like butter before you put on your shaving cream!
Just try it - it's cheap and marvelous!!!

Some of these ideas I've tried and they work wonders. Especially using Lestoil on oil stains & dish detergent to get out stains works as well. My grandma taught me a lot about getting stains out of clothes - she's a stain removing genius!!!

I LOVE this thread! Ok, I've got some good ones:
1. Use hair conditioner to shave your bikini area. First, exfoliate the area to really clean up the skin. It works wonders, and really helps prevent bumps.
2. After shaving the bikini area, once you're out of the shower and dry, apply a thin layer of Neosporin (or whatever brand) to the area. It really helps redness and bumps.
3. Do your cuticles crack all the time? These are small cuts! So at night, rub a thin layer of Neosporin (or whatever brand) around your fingers... and Voila! In the morning, you'll have gorgeous fingernails. This is GREAT for when you must look perfect at events (like your wedding!!!).
4. Does your eyeliner travel down your face? To prevent this, after you apply the liner, use a small and thin eyeliner dry brush (or an unused lip-liner brush) and apply a similar eyeshadow color on top. Your eye-liner will actually absorb the eyeshadow, creating an almost smudge-proof eye! This application also softens the line, and makes your makeup look flawless and professional. (ps, I used to be a professional makeup artist)
