Use milk to get out ink stains. Be sure to wash after soaking in milk. Sour milk smells worse than ink stains look.

Oven Cleaner:
Does your kitchen sink drain and food catch get discolored with coffee, etc...?
Do you scour to get it clean?
Not any more!
Spray oven cleaner on a stainless sink drain/catch, let sit a few minutes and rinse well (and possibly wipe with paper towels) - it will
look brand new (with no elbow grease).
.
When I was a tenant, whenever I moved into a new apartment with a stainless steel sink, I sprayed the entire sink - let sit - then scrub with cleanser and it is new!
Seems to get the minute particles of grease out of the crevices in the sink.
It has not ruined a stainless sink yet.
Let me know if anyone tries & likes this on.
.
I also use it on the BBQ grills. Place on newspaper on the lawn, spray, let it sit for awhile then clean up.
And...(I know I'm rambling), it works great on the bottom of stainless pots/pan. For those of you inheriting your FH's pots/pans - when you look at the bottom, there is likely to be a brown / burnt mess. It will come off - it has in the past.
Of course, I would not do this on the All Clads.

I can't believe I forgot this one.....

Wart Remover!! Ladies, I had a wart on my finger for 6 years!! 6 YEARS! I had it burned off, lazered, cut out, frozen with nitrous, tried every wart cream imaginable when I came across this little tidbit of info........

The only 3 supplies you'll need:
Pool Chlorine
Vitamin C
Band Aids

Directions: Take a drop of chlorine & mix it with water to make a thick paste. Apply mixture directly to wart. Make sure you do NOT get it on any surrounding skin(otherwise it's gonna burn )

Wrap a bandaid on it & leave it on for 24 hours.

The next day (after 24 hrs), wash the chlorine off completely & rinse for like 3-4 minutes.

Crush up a tablet of Vitamin C & make a paste out of that (Just like you did for the chlorine) Follow the same routine as you did for the chlorine, and cover with bandaid.

After 24 hours, wash off the Vitamin C paste & repeat the directions again, You're going to be alternating with the Chlorine paste & the Vitamin C paste every 24 hours. After 6 years of having this stinking wart on my finger, the darn thing disappeared in 4 DAYS!!!! 3 years later, the wart still has NOT returned! When I told my doctor that kept burning it off & cutting it off about the chlorine & Vitamin C paste, he said, 'Oh, yeah. I've heard of that, too! Yeah that definately works!'

Why couldn't he tell me about that before I spent hundreds of $$$$ on his stupid medical procedures!? If this helps you, then that'll make me happy! Good Luck ladies!

WOW. I have to save this thread!!! I know a couple of things here so this is the only thing I've come up with. I've seen this on TV. For rust spots on knives cut through an onion. And some how those juices remove them.

1- use sugar mixed with lotion to exfoliate your legs.

2- Vineger will clean anything sticky. (like soap scum, or like when you take duct tape off something and the sticky stuff stays.... ) Just remember to clean it with reg cleaning products afterward cause vineger smells.

IT WORKED FOR ME!!!

OH, ONE MORE.

To clean your microwave with no elbow grease, put lemon slices in a bowl of water, microwave it for like a min or two. You will just have to wipe your microwave with a wet towel.

Sorry,
I love this thread

Baby powder will take out ANY oil stain. put baby powder on the oil stain. Let it sit for like 15 min. wipe it off. Put more baby powder on the stain for another 15 min, then wipe off. Your oil stain should be out. If not, repeat until it is out.

to clean off really disgusting pans, i.e. lasagna, fill the pan with water and a used dryer sheet and let it sit. it will remove everything that burned on the pan and make it look like new again!!!

Think that would work with really burnt pan? I have had something soaking for weeks

definately!!!

ok, this may seem 'out there', but it works for me 99% of the time!

when you get the hiccups, squeeze the area of your hand between your thumb and pointer finger. keep squeezing for about 10 seconds without letting pressure off that spot. you will stop hiccupping, but ONLY if you catch it on the 1st or 2nd hiccup. sounds but I swear by it!

Put dryer sheets in your pockets or rub it on your arms and legs and it will keep mosquito's away(really works)

Also your own saliva (spit) takes blood out of clothes. gross but works!
