I know!! There are so many small towns!
Anyone have any plans of making a visit in the near future???
we were originally thinking of doing an italy trip for our honeymoon but we won't be able to relax - it'll be a lot of running around and sight seeing so we decided to wait til the summer of 08. it'll be our 1 yr. newlywed trip. most likely 3 weeks - 1 week touring and then 1 week in Castellammare del Golfo (FH's town) and 1 week in Palermo and Ragusa (where my parents are from). I can't wait to go...i miss the gelato![]()
Santina!!! my paisain!! lolol
when you go to Castellamare del Golfo - promise me one thing - take the DAVINCI cruise (its just for a day) and you go to 3 diff places - and its sooooo niceeee!! oooo how i miss it![]()
eta: you go see scopello - which is just the ocean - and you jump in and swim .. its the best!!! (you wear a life jacket)
ciao chica
i'm telling FH about that cruise - he came here when he was 15 so he might know what it is. and he's told me about scopello and san vito lo capo too- he says they're gorgrous places to visit - i can't wait to go!!!

Who is familiar with the favors by 'European Home Decor'? They generally come in a blue box, and I know I've seen some on this site from one or two other Italian girls. I think someone did a coffee pot with 2 espresso cups and saucers. Anyway, I am having a hard time finding pics of their products online, and wondering if anyone knows where I can find them. TIA!!!!
I did the espresso pot with the cups and saucers and they cameina blue velvet box...I ordered them from Magival Favors, vendor on here!
Marianne is the owner and they dont get anymore Italian than her!! She has amazing stuff and they come straight from Italy!
Ro, my favor was VERY similar minus the coffee pot and box. I had the two espresso cups hanging on a wrack...were such ginnys!!!!

This thread is great...I find myself agreeing with almost everything everyone has said. My parents are both 'off the boat' from Avellino.
I've been begging my mother to cut her guestlist down because we're already over 350 (but you HAVE to invite this one and you HAVE to invite that one...don't you love it).
I still make tomato sauce in August, love that little mouse and after 8 years of being together, my FI still doesn't understand why we don't eat meat on Christmas Eve (although I'm starting to think we are the only ones who do this)!
Oh no, we never ever eat meat on Xmas eve. It's my favorite meal of the year!!!

I have stayed at the Ambasciatori Palace (with my mom) on Via Veneto in Rome. It's beautiful, so I'm bringing FH back for our honeymoon in November.
