that is good that u have an idea of what you want.... i have none as far as types of flowers, i do know i want fall leaves on the tables... and all autumny types of flowers/colors. I MUST have a votive candle cp stand, other than that..... TBA. i have heard very good things about pedestals, i heard that they can be pricey though.... One piece of advice i would offer would be to look outside jt vendors..... yes its nice they are recommended, but they are recommended because of the 'kick backs' or so ive heard. for each vendor we looked at 2 or 3 in the field and then made a decision.... we are only going w/ royalty as far as jt vendors go.

Oh yeah, I want candles ANYWHERE I can put them! I LOVE CANDLES (I am a PartyLite consultant!)!!!! So does FH, he steals mine all the time! I am not dead set on using JT's vendors per say, but will check them out and see what they can/will do $$ wise for me. I am a bargainer (is that even a word?!?!), and will shop around for the best deal I can get. As well, I am not afraid to say 'So and so can do it for $$ less'. We'll see.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Hi Ladies!!!

That review wasn't too bad..I feel like I have read worse on this site. I don't get the back up with valet though...but I am glad that she had good things to say about the main dinner and service. Service is a big one for my family and me.

FYI..I am having food/dessert wrapped up for me to take home for the next day...I def. think they would allow you to put out boxes for guests to take home dessert..I don't see why not.

Well ladies.. I have only a few more days to go and I am not sure how much I will be able to come on..my last day of work was today..but I will def keep you filled in on any updates as often as I can..

I have faith that your day will be a wonderful one! Remember I told you a good friend of mine was married at JT, 6 yr anniversary on your wedding day. I had forgotten that I caught the bo-k at her wedding! Makes me feel even MORE so, your day will be good. I believe in signs and that things happen for a reason (don't mind me if I am not making any sense...I am so tired)

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Well, my centerpieces are going to be lost. Due to finances we are only having pillar candles on a mirror with rose petals and votives surrounding them. Oh well.

On another note...how soon before your wedding were you told to give your final headcount? I am trying to figure out what RSVP date to put on my invites. Thanks!

I would not worry, I am sure they will look great. I love the low centerpeices, and if I can't find a high one that I love, I am going with low ones. I want candles as part of the centerpieces, but do not like the candleabras or the high centerpeices with votive candles spiraling up them.

Do you have a pic of yours?

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

We are doing them ourselves and haven't bought everything to make them with yet so I don't have an exact picture of what they will look like. They will be sort of similar to this but with a larger round mirror:

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I LOVE THAT! That is beautiful!!!! Oooooo, I just can't stop looking at it!!!!! THAT won't get lost at all!!!! The low centerpieces I like are bubble bowls with roses. I think that'd get lost.
How much will these cost you? Where are you going to get the supplies??

-Jill

Here is a pic of the style I like, but diff colors.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I bought the candles at Michaels...they aren't all as tall as the ones in the pictures. There will be 3, a large (9inches high), medium (6inches high) and a small (3 inches high). Michaels has sales every now and then and these candles are $1, $2, and $3 each. The cheapest mirrors I've seen to buy are on this link . But we might just rent them since we don't know what we'd do with all of those mirrors after the wedding. I got 72 votive holders with candles for $50 (includes shipping) on www.cudge.net. I am still not sure where I am getting the rose petals from though but they will be silk. Total I think we are spending $250 for everything which is less than 1/2 of what my florist would have done the same thing for.

Me too then! Personally, I thought being in the dome room we should have tall centerpieces but my mother hates them and basically refused to pay for them. Since I don't care too much about flowers I didn't argue. Joe at Pedastals said he's done both and doesn't think one is better than the other. The ceiling aboove the tables where the centerpieces are is low so he said it didn't matter. At first I didn't care but now I'm nervous?

I think they are beautiful! I bet you could sell the mirrors on E-bay, or maybe even on this site, when your wedding is over. Good luck!

pmnkm..... I am not too into flowers... (or at least wasnt into them until i met w/ J&R)
so when i walked into jt i really didnt even think about what flowers i would use, that wasnt part of my 'vision'..... then anna was like 'you just have to use tall cp's they draw your eyes up to the center of the room'. i think she is right as far is that goes...... but joe at pedastals is also right... the ceiling over the tables is just like any other rooms height.... its all personal taste.... I happen to love the tall cp stands w/ votive candles... others do not....you can totally go either way, it will look beautiful, and no one will even notice the height of the cp's, they will all be fighting over who takes it home no matter how high or low

Good idea, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks to you all for making me feel more confident about my centerpieces.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

i havent heard anything yet... i am sure she is still enjoying her day

on another note.... i spoke w/ mike closs, he left me a message and i called him back a few days later. half cause i was so busy and half cause i didnt know what to say lol. he was wonderful... just as i had expected. i briefly explained why i wanted to switch bm's, i told him i was embarassed about the situation etc, but he didnt even care, not in a bad way, he was just all about the now and the future..... which totally made me feel so much better!!! he was like 'dont worry bout it'! so now i can put that out of my mind! we also spoke a little about liw's too!! i am so excited to have him now!!!!

Ok, another thread made me wonder: has anyone heard anything about the rehearsal policy? Can we have one the day before?
