on another note.... i spoke w/ mike closs, he left me a message and i called him back a few days later. half cause i was so busy and half cause i didnt know what to say lol. he was wonderful... just as i had expected. i briefly explained why i wanted to switch bm's, i told him i was embarassed about the situation etc, but he didnt even care, not in a bad way, he was just all about the now and the future..... which totally made me feel so much better!!! he was like 'dont worry bout it'! so now i can put that out of my mind! we also spoke a little about liw's too!! i am so excited to have him now!!!!![]()

I agree on Mike! He is AWSOME!!! We just booked on 9/12 for our 06/2006 wedding. I had a situation arise last week (NOT JT related) but it involved Mike, (FM if you want the whole story) and he TOTALLY put me at ease! He is a great guy!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
It went perfect!!! Well not at first of course. On our way out there our truck's windshield got tagged by a golf ball, putting FH in the worst mood ever!! We waited 45 mins to be seen only for one of the other brides standing in the lobby to tell me she is getting married the same day SAME TIME as mine is starting. I was livid that they hadn't staggered them. But apparently she is getting married there so it is not technically the same time.We met with Mike, Anna was with another bride. HE WAS AWESOME!!! I kept telling FH we have to talk to Mike we have to talk to Mike!! We got some things added because we aren't making our minimum. Paid our final bill handed everything in to them, and Mike assured us he would be present and paying attention to our party since we are so short.
Wow it's less than 10 days away. I can't believe it is here already.!!!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I have seen a number of posts on the Chocolate fountain. And my mom (who lives in Illinois) went to a wedding (in Kansas) that had it and she loved it. I think she was hinting that she wants me to have one.Question- Does JT do that? If so, anyone know the cost?
Thanks!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
Not much new here. I have put the planning on 'hold' for now, still on LIW getting ideas and such, but with the upcoming holidays, searching for a new jobs, etc etc, I need to temporarily set my sights on other things. Also, our engagement party is in 6 months, so I need to get the favors ready, finalize guest list, print invites, etc.Hi Marie!!!
I did email my mom all the pics I had taken at the last showcase at JT, she loved them! And she said my step-dad said 'WOW!' None of my family has been to, let alone seen JT...yet! Planning on dragging them all there when they are in town for the engagment party!
How are things with you gals?
No word yet from Jozie, can't wait to see pics. Anyone know where she was honeymooning?
Julestrd...your day is approaching!!!!
How are you?!?!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
Hey GalsI am doing great, thank you for asking. Two of my bridesmaids came in and I am showing them the city, they are driving me nuts though, They didn't help me with any of the planning during this whole process and now they are here and I have stuff they can help with and it's like pulling teeth to get them out of bed before noon, ok I understand this is their vacation but HELLO!!! I have taken things into my own hands and am completing things on my own and if they want to site see by all means go but I have things to take care of.
I am so looking forward to my day. I had my breakdown already and am anxiously awaiting my day,
Everything is done and Jericho is looking beautiful--we went tonight to drop some stuff off--they have some fall stuff out. I'm getting MARRIED!!!

I went to JT last night to Drop off more $$$. They have a couple of fall items by the entrance door. bail of hay and pumpkin.Gina actually sent me an email the other day asking me to contact her with a list of vendors and to start looking at invites. Too bad I have had them sitting in my house for the last 3 months.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
HI, My brother is getting married at Jericho Terrace in June. I actually worked there many moons ago. What alot of people don't realize is that those attendents that take care of you all night don't see a dime of what you give to your matr'd. They get paid almost nothing to work the wedding and I don't know how it is now but when I was there they hired alot of H.S. and college kids for that reason. But I totally agree that you pay out all this money and to have to tip everyone starts to get real costly. JT is a great place though and when I worked there I never heard anyone complain about their wedding and the chef(Dave)is a great chef. Good Luck and have a great time!!

Hey girls.....
paulsbride, thanks for all the info!!! its so great to hear good reviews of our hallI agree it sounds like it was an issue with the band more than w/ the hall as far as the viennese hour thing. I think we can request to keep the lights dim and the music playing throughout, maybe just tone it down a bit. maybe have the mc or whoever make an announcement about it being dessert time, taking a quick break and then continuing the party. (ofcourse wording it better than that lol). I agree we are paying more than enough, but I also agree that if thats what it takes to keep them on their toes, so be it.
the bride and groom totally set the tone, its so true. My fh will only be dancing to 2 songs, me and his mom lol, and i am ok with that. however me and my family and friends will be up there the whole time.
that is awesome that your work threw you a party!!! definitely embarassing w/ your boss sitting right there though lol.
cant wait to hear about the cake, ttyl xoxxo

So, can we do that at JT? When is it done? CH? Viennese? I am not doing a Viennese, but would love to have the chocolate fountain. I have seen posts that others says having during the CH would be too much! Thanks!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I am not on LI weddings that often but I am also getting married at Jericho Terrace in August ,. I am so excited I loved it there. We are planning on going back in NOv to try the food. But I am a very nervious bride (I guess I am more nervious that I am forgetting things) (from what I read on the other postit) you really do not need to talk to the JT untill 8 weeks before your wedding. Also about the cakes, do they have ones to pick from or are we suppose to get pictures of ones we have seen that we liked?I am just curious how much where the chair covers?
Thanks.
Andrea

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
hey Andrea and welcome!!! as for the chair covers, i think they are $3-4 pp!!! some of the brides on here got them thrown in their contract.... i wish i did
It seems as though there really is no need to speak to JT like u said until about 8 weeks or so before, unless u are dealing w/ gina or have questions, etc. As for the cakes, i think they do have pictures, but i believe u can also bring in some photos of cakes u like. if its not 'over the top' i believe they will do what u like for no extra charge. i have heard the bakery they use is awesome, so i am very excited about that!!!
anyway, what else is new guys???

I just called there and asked about the chocolate fountains. They are definitley allowed but I was told to contact Gina for more information about having it set up. I guess since she is their planner she will know which vendors to use. I'll give her a call and see what she has to say.
I think they are usually put out during dessert. We are not having the veinnese hour so I guess it would be after the cake cutting on it's own separate table???
