jules, i am sooo happy for you!!! Such a stress lifted off of your shoulders, and youll be dealing w/ mike anyway it sounds so that works out too!!! the girls on here rave about him!

That is cool that the bow isnt extra, i think i would want it, but $3 pp??? ughhh decisionsssssssssss

Yeah, the $3pp is still bothering FI. He thinks it's a rip off for fabric. LOL I want them but the budet is gonna be tight as is.

We are going over tomorrow (or at least I'm going). FI has to work and may work late.

I think I may leave a deposit.

Anything that we should have included in the contract?

Brand name soda, bottled water, menu items?

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

ohh woohooo kd!!!! I never knew about all that named brand stuff when we did our contract, i figured we are getting top shelf liquor, u would think youre getting 'top shelf' soda hahahaha. as for the menu, we have the 'deluxe' so that was put on it, which gives the guests the 7 choices, so i wouldnt have specifics put on it, but i would definitely have which 'type' you want. they are 'throwing in' certain added on CH items, as well as red and white wine unlimited on each table, maybe try to get that. basically anything that isnt 'standard' get put in writing.
the $3 pp is definitely such a waste, but i look at those chairs and i am grossed out, but we are looking at about 240 and $700 for friggin linen is just crazy!!!!! ughhhhh

Jeees!!! $700 is a lot of money for chair covers!!!! I think we are going with the regular menu but having some things from the deluxe swapped out. We are seafood people so we are taking out the appetizers on the regular menu and adding more seafood.

I plan to ask about free chair covers once more. I want them but not for $3pp - but I will have it written in that they are $3pp just in case I want to add them later. Don't want them to go up to $4pp next year.

Just finished comparing regular and deluxe menu and there are not many differences. In fact, I hated most of the hors d'ouvres and totally changed them to things not even on the deluxe. Mike Closs suggested coconut shrimp since we love seafood. We are getting the mushroom caps sutffed with crabmeat too.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Hi Ladies!
Sorry I dissapeared for a few days there...things are strangely enough slowing down now that we are a week away from the wedding.

Anyway, we went for our final appointment on Thursday and wanted to give you guys an update. We had to have a night appt b/c FI and I work in the city, so our BM was not there. We ended up meeting with Anna and it was the most bizarre episode I have ever had! Don't get me wrong, she was helpful, but she somehow (with no prompting from us) got into a 25 minute discussion on how much she loves Pres Bush!! My FI and I are just looking at her this entire time....it is 9:15pm and we haven't eaten yet!! Besides that, it went very well. She went through the final bill and we have officially paid everything off!!

We took all the items we needed for ceremony/reception and we had to label each one with names, wedding date, and rooms we were using. I would suggest doing this before you go since it took FOREVER. They took it all and packed it away in a room in the back.

We are 10 under our minimum and we asked about throwing in chair covers, but she said no. I was expecting this. We are going to call our regular BM next week and speak with him about it.

I will be around Mon-Wed, but then I'm off for the wedding! I will definitely write up a review when I return from the honeymoon.

Good luck everyone!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

omg paulsbride i am so excited for you!!! you know we are all going to be patiently awaiting your review!!!!! I am so happy that everything is calm right now, I cant imagine being calm a week before my wedding!!!!! I cant believe no chair covers, what is the big deal!!!! Make sure u get everyone of those meals wrapped for someone to take home or something if they wont throw in any extras!!! that is funny about the pres. bush conversation, i wonder how she got off on that tangent lol. We asked to change BM's, they said it wouldnt be a problem but i am still waiting to hear the final word. she was great when we booked her, but i have heard too many unsettling things about her lately that I dont want to take that chance! what stuff did you bring with you that you left there??? did u bring all your favors etc???? anyway, i wish you the best of luck with your wedding day, and everyday there after as the new mrs. paulsbride I know you will have a beautiful day, just remember to soak it all in!!!!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

OMG Paulsbride:
I went to talk to Anna on Friday afternoon and she said that she had a couple in there asking just about all the same questions I was when I went in there. Such as chair covers, paying the 18% on the people that aren't coming, was that you? That will be so funny if it is, because after we left I told my FSIL I would die laughing if I was talking to the girl online yesterday, she started laughing.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Julestrd, yes, that was probably us! What time were you there? I wish we could have met!

We took everything - programs, favors, guest book, centerpieces (b/c they are silk), votive candles, ring bearer pillow, bird cage for envelopes, bubbles for after ceremony, unity candle, champagne glasses...I think that's about it!

I can't believe it is supposed to rain this weekend..... and if it doesn't come this way, it is heading to Mexico where we're going on our HM next week!!! Weather sucks.

We moved into the new apartment this weekend - it is a lot of work, but it is coming together

I'll be around until Wednesday! Thanks for all the support!

Hi everyone and welcome to the new Jericho Terrace brides.

Just curious if anyone knows if they have high chairs or booster seats available at JT? Or if we have to bring our own

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Hi Jules,
I def think that they should have them...I hope so..I have 1 baby that is def going to need one.

So, I spoke to the infamous Anna yesterday and surprisingly..she was really accommodating..she def. is a litte shaddy personality wise and kind of seemed dead set on things. I liked her, but I def. wouldn't trade her in for Mike. Mike is def more lenient and extremely easy going. But, Anna went over a lot of details with me for the wedding...she went over all of my dinner choices, my cake, and other things for the wedding ect (mike wasn't in, so I decided to give her a shot)..we were on the phone for about 1/2 hour..she was very thorough and seems extremely organized.

She also asked me if I go on LIW's. I was a little nervous to reply 'yes' because of all the Mike promoting I have been doing and because the reviews on her are not that great..so I said 'sometimes.' Than I asked her if she goes on the site and she said 'not really, but I know a lot of the girls that book here, go on it and review the employee's, JT, ect.' She seemed sooo paranoid like she was going to loose her job or something..Maybe one of the higher ups there checked out the site and called her in..who knows..?? thought that was interesting though..

PS..spoke to mike today and asked if my cake could be 4 layers instead of 3 and he said 'YES!!!' Very excited!!!!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

omg jozie that is crazy that she asked you that!!!! I just got home and heard a message from Mike, telling me to give him a call and he'd be happy to help me from here on out!!!! I feel sooooo bad that I even emailed them to switch BM's!!!!! I truly hope my email had nothing to do with her asking you that question!!! That was my take on her as well.... very very organized, thorough, etc. I actually thought she was a little 'different' when we booked, she kept telling fh's brother and his friend to shush up cause she was losing her train of thought lol, but I never had any doubts about her until this thread and hearing how hard nosed she has been to some brides on here!!! OH i hope u guys will make me feel better I know in my heart i did the right thing. I have no doubts that anna is a wonderful BM, I think how detail oriented she is will make for wonderfully smooth weddings, but i couldnt go through the stress that some of u guys are going through when it comes down the stretch, not aftering paying all that $$$!!!! Until i had emailed them i had such a knot in my stomach about down the road and dealing with her and how will it be etc. etc. ok enough babbling for me.... how is everyone else????

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I am lucky enough to have Mike C as my BM and I can't be happier! He's great and really helpful. When he says 'I want you to call me with ANY questions' he really means it. I hope all your experiences turn out well :)
