I got tap water on purpose when we went on Sunday. It was fine though. I am not big on soda and neither is FI so we don't even know the popular brand....unless it's Coke mixed with rum. LOL

FI said wow - these women are really watcing everything if they noticed the green napkin for the bread and butter covers were not matching. LOL

That's pretty funny about ordering the tap water and what FI said...I'm paying an arm and a leg for this wedding and def want the most I can get...I am sooo anal when it comes to certain things too, so that doesn't help me.

Yeah, he is happy I found the site though. It helped to narrow down our choices a lot. He did not want to go to 20 halls and we did not want to hike out to Suffolk County either since we live in BK.

You ladies are really on top of things.

That sounds silly since you are already paying for 170. I'm pretty sure Mike told me they would throw in extras if we did not hit the minimum. I do not have my notes with me at work though but I definitley asked that question.

I'm not sure why they didn't show it to you, but the 7 entree choices is the Deluxe Wedding Menu, which is what we're going with. Maybe you told them a specific budget you were going with? It's a bit more expensive, but my dad is paying for the reception, and he said we should go for it. The cocktail hour is better too, but it's really not a huge difference.

I just wish they would get new chairs!!!! Ugh. They ARE replacing the carpets by the time I get married though...don't know exactly when.

If we go with JT, I am asking for chair covers. Or I would want to use the ones from the cocktail hour withthe gold tone backs. I like them much better than that flower pattern.

I called and asked to speak to Mike Closs but he wasn't in so I am going to call tomorrow he is supposed to in. Hi all, (and thanks to exotica776 for showing me this thread).

We are thinking of booking Jericho and I'm trying to calulate a budget.

Can anyone tell me the pricing for photo/video. I have it down as $3500 for our budget but if it's less and I can put that money elsewhere, I'd love to know. I hear Duet is reasonable.

I also have flowers as $1700 for 150 guests(15 tables and 3 brides maids plus mine bouquet and the guys bouts). Does that seem right?

How much are limos? We are getting married at the hall so I guess drop off in the a.m. and pick up after for ride to Brooklyn promenade for extra pics and then home.

duet is veryyyy reasonable, their 'basic' package I believe is 3699, but dont let the name fool you, there is nothing basic about it! YOu get 2 photographers, 1 videographer, 2 parents albums etc etc etc. definitely check them out! i would say you are right on with your price there.. i also believe some girls asked about paying in cash and getting the tax removed... something stupid me didnt even think of. I need SOMEONE to teach me the art of negotiating, I cant do it, ever. i am the person who pays full price at the little shops in mexico, or damn close to it lol.

for flowers we are going w/ jack and rose, I have heard some varying reviews lately, but overall i have heard RAVE things about them, and i am personally VERY excited about using them. limos we are using royalty, we got the bmw 745i for the girls and the escalade for the guys, and then the whole party for after the church (then the parents will take the bmw). that was 1650, i was very happy w/ that price, for 3.5 hrs, gratuity included i believe!!!

BTW, i am gonna try to scan the deluxe menu so u can get an idea, that is one of the best parts!!! xoxo all

jozieb0925, thanks for asking! I can't believe it. I have 6 days of work left (not including today) and I CANNOT concentrate for the life of me. And of course my boss brought in a huge tub of caramel popcorn from his vacation and put it on MY desk so I keep smelling it....I can't take it!!

We got a lot done this weekend. We did the seating chart, programs, wrapped all the bridal party gifts, started packing (we're moving this weekend to our new apartment), started writing our vows and made our OOT gift bags to give to the hotel next week. Whew! Not really a vacation weekend...

Question for you girls in the Penthouse room - we have round tables. When we were making our seating chart, we ended up with most tables having either 9 or 10, but two or three tables only have 7 (for example, we only wanted the 2 sets of parents and grandparents at the main table which equals 7) - will this look strange???? let me know what you girls think.

We have our final final appt on Thursday night so I will let you know how that goes. We have to pay and give in our seating chart, as well as take everything for the ceremony/reception including centerpieces (they are silk).

Hope everyone else is doing well!! jozieb0925, you're not far behind me!! What else do you have left to do?

jules, i am soooo sorry!!! this is the most rediculous thing I have EVER heard..... OK, anna is my BM and i am going to get an ulcer over the next year hearing all of this!!! i just emailed jt to see if you can change your BM, i mean her name is on my contract, so I am probably screwed!!! its like they will do friggin cartwheels down the hall to get u to book, and once they have you they screw u!!! there is no way you are going to pay for 70 people that are not going to be there, if that is the case, and they wont throw in 'extras', then get each and every meal wrapped and donated or something like that. U are paying for that food, you should get it then!!! or take it all home and feed your whole family for a week or two!!!! please let us know what is going on!!!!

on a side note, jozie..... doesnt JT provide us w/ place cards????

Did anyone ask about cancelled dates?

The quote we got is for 2/2006 and now we are thinking of moving the date up to a warmer time of year.

We want to use the gardens and know they will not be as pretty in the winter (if we are even brave enough to go outside in 20 - 30 degree weather).
