The cakes looked really nice actually. They have a good selection. We did not feel as though the upgrade was necessary and our BM actually discouraged it, saying the regular cakes were just as nice - the more expensive ones just have more labor time involved. We chose a regular cake and are very happy with it. You can get either a tier cake or stacked with any style you choose. As I said, I was happy with the selection

We have our final appointment Sept 9th so I will let you know how that goes.

I would assume they send you a letter like they did when it was time for your semi final arrangements.

What is the semi finalaptment? The only other time I met with them besides the time I booked was for the food tasting and I called and arranged that appointment..

oh I'm sorry. I got my letter in the mail this week to go and pick our menu, as in the chafing dishes and cake filling. It is supposed to be where you pick up your table layouts and such.

You should call and ask to go in and do this. I don't know why they wouldn't send you a letter. Someone is slacking

Weird..I never got the letter, but when I went to the food tasting, we picked all of our choices for the CT hour and dinner, etc..in addition to, getting the floor plan, etc..so maybe I arranged the date b4 they even had a chance to send the letter out and because I did maybe Mike never sent it to me...(since it was already done). Thanks for explaining though..I got nervous for a sec.

I am calling him today about the cake. Maybe I will borrow my friends dig. camera, so that I can post them for you guys...

I love that we started this..keep writing so other JT girls see it..IT'S SO HELPFUL!!

jozieb0925-Yes, we only picked our dishes, cake and got the layout of the room at the semi-final appointment. At the final appointment, we were told to bring ALL extras (including guest book, favors, bubbles, unity candle, etc.) and they keep them there. We also have to pay the remainder of our bill!! Not looking forward to that part.....

It sounds as though you may have set up the appointment before they had the chance to send out the letter. We received our letter about 6 weeks before our wedding date, and it clearly stated that we should set it up at least 8 weeks prior, so they are obviously behind...

My friend at work is actually going to a wedding this weekend at JT and she is going to take pictures for me and let me know the good/bad parts. I will keep you updated!

We were just moved to the Penthouse room because our guest list is much larger than we anticipated - we are expecting approx 150 which I know is a small number for the size of that room - they do not have an in between room though! I'm not complaining...it is absolutely beautiful!

Hi there, I have wanted to reply the past few days but i have been sooo crazy, so this will be long!

i am so jealous some of you girls got the chair covers thrown in!!! I am wondering if i could call and ask for them to be added! we are giving them a lot of $$$, its worth a try ahahahah.
Jozie, the cigar price seems pretty good, what are u getting with the deal, and when will the guy be rolling the cigars???

so for us we are in the dome room, both our mothers wanted us to be in the penthouse room, the one next to the dome, for size reasons. the room is really pretty, but we just loved the ceiling. i was indifferent really, it was the huge cocktail hr room that sold JT to us, so I let fh pick which room he wanted lol.

I have never heard a 'bad' review of JT, I mean ofcourse i have done the searches and read the small things here and there, but overall anyone i have ever spoken to has raved about weddings there. I have heard the food is amazing so that is the most important part hahaha. I have saved a few things that i have heard that were negative and as it gets closer i plan on addressing them with my BM.

my BM is Anna, she was very sweet but a little out there lol. Slightly sales pitchy as well. FH and I went to see jt w/ his brother (bm), his girlfriend and fh's friend, they were talking as we were touring and she was like 'guys please be quiet I am losing track here.' I am so far away so i really dont know anything about the planning process with them. We send a check in every month, thats about it haha.

do u guys know what the menus look like that they provide??is it one per person? were you able to change your menu at all? I know its a choice of 7, but i would love to change the chicken on it.

next I want to welcome Paulsbride!!! your day is almost here and i cant wait to hear your review!!!! and then josie and julestrd!!!!!

Hi ladies! I am going to check out Jericho Terrace tomorrow, and I am very excited about it. They wouldn't quote me a price over the phone, though, so I was wondering if anyone who is getting married during the daytime there could help me with that (I actually FM'd JozieB already - if you see this, I wasn't sure if you check that). hi wintergirl!! We are getting married there on a Friday night, but at least it helps you get an idea..... its easier to just post the price here, i hope no one minds......
CH is 7-8 reception is 8-1, we did add the extra hour and the full viennese. we got it for 87pp (before tax and gratuity etc.) It comes out to about 112pp after everything, we are in the dome room with 200 person minimum. The price for JT was exactly what we were quoted for crest hollow, woodbury CC and fox hollow as well.
i would be interested in hearing what price the other JT girls got too!!

That's really interesting...we went to Fox Hollow last night and really liked the menu there (so I know what they would charge me, at least), but I think Jericho Terrace looks so beautiful in the pics that have been posted. I know we'll pay a little less also because of the time of year too. Thanks!

yeah youll definitely do better with day time and time of the year! November is actually starting to be one of the 'high' months, figures lol. Our base price before any extras was 75pp, so they are very reasonable IMO. here is a link to some awesome pics that one of the wonderful brides on here took, I am sorry i cant remember who tookk them, but i saved them in my favorite places jericho terrace pictures

Hi ladies..I'm soo glad your back. I was getting nervous for a sec.

Exotica...The menus are ok. The are long and narrow. The entrees are the only thing printed on them.

They read something like this:

Welcome to JT, please choose one of the following for your Dinner Entree. ....and than lists the 7 types of dinner.

I know they have two kinds. One with the steak + the other 6 choices and another with the filet Mignon and the other 6 choices. They have a gold and green print on them. I am making my own so that they match my theme...but, was very tempted to not do it, cause they are decent looking. I think they will accommodate you with the change of chicken option...but than I don't know if you can use their menus..but, that shouldn't really be a reason not to change the dish.

I have to get back to you on the cigar roller details. that's the ONE thing my FI took care of and I have no idea what he is getting for his money. Mike said that they will prob. set the roller guy outside of the penthoue room..off to the side near that fire place upstairs. A little after the VH, the band will announce if people want cigars to go help them selves and advise them where to go to get them. Mike said that they can smoke in the CT room. So, I am assuming either he or the band will announce where they should go to smoke.


PS..I am meeting with Mike on Thursday re: cake selection..I'll fill you in..when I get back..

I'm offically under one month!! I can't believe it - everything goes so fast! I'm ready for it to be over though...I'm ready to be married already!

I will definitely put up posts and continue to let you know how things are going. Our final appointment is Sept 9th, so I'll definitely post after that.
