Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
welcome back paulsbride!!!! i CANT wait to hear your review!!! jozie, i also wanted to tell you how amazingly beautiful you looked in your pics!!!! cant wait to see more!!!susie.... i am getting married 11-11-05 so i can give you any information that you want! I am very curious what BM you met with, i cant imagine someone being like that!!!! as far as showing the different rooms, usually they show you the room(s) that will accomodate the amount of people you will be having... how many people did u guarantee, if any?? From my experience... you have a better chance getting things 'thrown in' than you do actually having the price lowered, i know some girls are getting chair covers, we are getting wine on each table, a few extra things at the CH, etc. i was quoted 75 for a friday night, 95 for a saturday night, then ++. We are also doing a viennese and the extra hr, so it comes to about 112 pp total, for a friday night. we ended up saving about 6k by sticking with a friday night, for us it was worth it. i am not sure about the other menu's, they showed us the one w/ 7 entrees, and i didnt need to see anything else! I would recommend calling and making an app't to meet with mike closs (sp?). He is amazing and you will be much happier!! i am sorry you had such a bad first experience, but dont give up on the hall cause its a beautiful place! HTH
p.s. i am so happy your mom is doing well, my grandmother beat breast cancer, i wish her luck!

Thank you! I have an appointment and a tasting tonight. I am going to try the 'throw in' and see what else I can get. Right now I am now looking at December 10th 2005 the prices are definitly more in my range. I spoke with Lou and he seems to be very understanding and helpful (over the phone) so we will see. They never told me how long the reception was hmmm now I wonder...
Thank you for the kind words about my Mom. My grandmother and my aunt are both survivors also its been a tough few years with BC.
:) Thanks again!
Ill let you know how it goes tonight!!!!

Hi JT Girls!Welcome Salsbride!
I just posted some pictures, but there are none really of the grounds. I had my reception in the penthouse room. I don't have the prof. pictures yet..
I don't know how to link, so if you can, do a search under my user name. The topic is 'I Did it. Here are some pics (from friends)'.

Salsbride06- When I get home tonight, I will email you some pics. I was at the last showcase in Sept and when shutter-crazy! Warning, there will be alot of pics!GiGi042806-I have not been to see any vendors, okay, I met with one...Pedestals...HOLY SMOKES BIG $$. I am not planning on meeting with any others until Jan or Feb. Hoping to hit up the folks for $$ when they are here for my engagement pasty in April!
I do plan on checking out Patken and Duet for photo/video. As for DJ, I loved Body Rock's performance at the Showcase, but a friend of mine knows someone who works for In The Mixx, so we'll see.

Thank you! I have an appointment and a tasting tonight.
What!! I was told they don't do that! and that was a major headache for me because FMIL was not happy that they don't know if the food is good. That annoys me. So who is everyone's BM? Does anyone else have Chad? Also is anyone else having a Saturday night reception? I've read some posts about seeing other brides, and not that I would mind seeing one of you
but I am just curious what time other sat night weddings are going on. My CH starts at 6. susieandsteven111905: the reception is probably 4 hours Not including the CH. We got 'thrown in' an additional hour with the vienniese table.
Congrats jozie and paulsbride! Im glad everything went well! You both look beautiful in your pics!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
PMNKM--we had a tasting, I called and spoke to our BM (who no longer works there) and asked him what if I don't like the food, so he set up a tasting for me and the in laws. I had already booked but then tasted the food. He told me if I didn't like the food he would return all my money and I could book elsewhere. That was how confident he was. And he was right the food was awesome. I can't highly recommend anyone there for you to speak to but Mike Closs did our final and threw in extras for us. Good Luck

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
pmnkm- Our BM is Mike Closs. When we went to talk pricing and book, we asked if we could do a food tasting and the girl who set up the appt said yes. We had a bunch of passed hors d'ouvers, fresh mozzarella and tomoato, pasta w/ vodka sauce and creme brule. OH MY, the creme brule was awsome. I had never had it before.Chad and my FH worked together at Westbury Manor about 5-6 yrs ago.
Oh, we have a Thursday wedding, so I am not sure how many brides we'll see. Our CH starts at 7. We had the choice of a 7 or 8:30 start. And we are in the Garden ROom for CH and Dome Room for reception.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
Hi!Just adding my two cents as well. As much as I liked my reception, the one negative is that the valet was backed up and the minute we drove in..guess what??? There was another bride and groom taking pictures on the balcony thing outside of JT. As far as the rest of the night goes, I didn't see another bride. I saw other bridesmaids, but no brides. I also had my wedding on a Saturday night.
I kind of think it's BS how they tell you your not going to see another bride because of the staggered times. I think there is definite potential of running into one or your guests running into one..several of my friends and family told me they saw other brides...
Also, I had a tasting after I booked also. They shouldn't give you hard time about that.

I agree with this, When FH and I were there on a Sunday for our 4pm appt with Mike C, to book, when we left at 6pm, we saw not 1 but 2 brides (and bridal parties) taking pics! 1 was in lobby and 1 was outside. Hey, at least they were taking turns.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
Yeah, as much as they tell you that you won't see anyone else, expect to see other brides/bridal parties!! Then you won't be dissapointed
The only reason it upset me that there was another bride/bridalparty there is that she was hogging the main entrance where we wanted pictures taken...then she hogged the ceremony room where we wanted pictures...just be aggresive! Or get your photographer to be aggresive...I was not enough and did not get all the pics I wanted.
Still have not gotten my proofs back...as soon as I do I'll post some pics

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I'm really annoyed now that Chad said we couldn't have a tasting. It seems like everyone has Mike Closs...maybe I should switch. Do they have two bridal suites? because if there are two of us we aren't all going to fit in that room? I was told that if we have one of their house photographers we get priority when taking pictures....maybe that is why you had trouble when you were trying to take pics? I feel like I should call and complain about the tasting....what do you think?Welcome New Vendors
