Why did everyone pick the month of June to get married?


I picked it because I didnt think it would be too hot like July and it was safer to get June because I thought May might have a chance of showers

Plus the grass is green and the flowers are in full bloom...how beautiful!!! not to mention the date was available at my RH!!!!

dont worry...you still have plenty of time...I am focusing on my school right now....its almost the end of the semester here..but I will be taking summer classes so I can finsih this december!!!

Hi Lilpie....June 30, 07! Pople are telling me I am crazy for doins so much planning...they should see how many of us there are!

I booked my church, RH, Photo, Video, Limos..and I got my dress! I have also pretty much narrowed down my BM dresses.

I am working on hair and makeup and then flowers.

I am doing invites in the fall. Am I leaving anything out?

my planning update:
RH-check
photo/video-check
flowers-check
dj-working on it.. we saw LI sound last nite.. the guy we spoke with is pretty cool but we're going to wait til sat to decide because we have an appt to see tommy tunes that day. i can't wait
church-next thing to do
hotel blocking- going nuts over which hotel to pick they're so expensive and we dont want OOT to pay so much money for a room. plus, we have to think about how they're getting to the RH (those shuttle buses are soo expensive)

i still havent searched for any of my dresses yet. BM nor mine. too much to do!!

I booked Jo Von as my photographer last week. I think Danacm80 said her hall recommended them. Definitely check them out the blew me away after visiting with a few others.

Anyone know how much bands want as a deposit to book?

Hi date twins!

I feel so behind- you've got so much more done than we do. We have the reception, hotel blocks for OOT guests, my dress, tiara, veil, shoes, and FI's tuxes. We were originally getting married this summer, but FH is in grad school in Chicago, so it was too hard to plan. when we postponed the wedding, we were able to book it in NY like we originally wanted to, so I'm starting from scratch again. I've looked at a couple of photographers/videographers, and my next trip to NY in a couple weeks I'll be looking at a few more, and we're working on booking a church. It's tough to plan from out of state!

I got some pretty good prices form the Marriott Melville and the Huntington Hilton. We're going with the Marriott because it's closer to the LIE and a bit easier for people to find. It's about $10 a night cheaper than the Hilton, and Ilene the group sales manager is great to work with!
