Official Latina Brides Thread

I enjoy speaking to all the ladies on LIW, but just want to see what are some of the Latina brides doing for their weddings. Let's talk about what music we want, what traditions are we incorporating into our ceremonies, reception, just anything!!! Let's get this ball rolling lol.

Sooo happy to see this!!!!
I have been on the lookout since i joined LIW! I'm Yoli by the way. FH & I are both 2nd Gen Latinos he is Cuban & I am Dominican.

One thing that we are doing.....

We are having a latin guitar trio to sing old spanish boleros during the cocktail hour. I know both our parents will love that!

Hi girls! my name is Janira, and im puerto rican and so is FH, I suppose we are second generation cause we were born in NY and not PR but our parents were.

Um the one thing we are incoroporating into the wedding is that im going to wear a mantilla in stead of a regular vail. FH's mom is obsessed saying its the only thing she has ever wanted me to do. She also says most PR's wear them.... idk about that lol

. I'm wearing a mantilla also. I think they look so elegant. My mom has been obsessed also & I'm so glad we agree on this one!

Im wearing the mantilla cause its a big deal to my FMIL. Her daughter is getting married, and didnt get one, cause she didnt wanna... her mom was heart broken till FH proposed and she said PLZ wear a mantilla for me... I was like uhhhhh kay. She's a doll though, I would have never said no.

I am also using a mantilla (my dream since I was a little girl when I thought about my wedding) and I am doing the arras (coins) ceremony.

I am EVIE. I am half Puerto RIcan and Half Central American.

I am planning on wearing a mantilla style veil also. Just because I love the look.
