My friend also mention Grand Combo. I can't do Elvis Crespo It drives me crazy now when I hear Suavemente they play it all the time.

im dominican born in jersey. fh is puertorican born in brooklyn.
we both live in queens now.

as far as the wedding:

im having a bilingual ceremony;
padrinos de boda;
80% spanish music at the reception.
oh and the dollar dance! lol dont know if everyone does this but my family does. everyone pays to dance with the bride and groom. they throw money at you and you get to keep it all at the end of the night!

I just saw this thread!!!!!!!!!!!

My name is Cindy and I am 1/2 colombian and 1/2 russian.

FH is 100% chinese so we will be a mix

I really dont know what I can incorporate into my wedding that is spanish. The RD will incorporate the asian but the spanish is my dilema. Both my parents are no longer with me so its interesting to see what and if I do anything. I def will have spanish music at my wedding though!!!

im planning on doing the dollar dance too, ill have maybe about 25% spanish music though, because ill have majority of italian side there (FH and my moms side dont have much family)

i really hate that song suavemente....i actually used to like it, but i hear it at EVERY non hispanic event igo to, where they want to through in spanish music....i think DJ's think its the ONLY spanish song out there!!!

My name is Gloria, i'm 26 and i will be getting married 11 days after my birthday and the FH's bday is the day before..so it will be also kinda a celebration of our birthdays..I'll be 28 when i get married lol
