NO OFFENSE to anyone else.....but hey..I had to jump on the bandwagon! Come one come all...since there are so many divisions of Hispanic...I figured I'd play it safe..

Hola!!! this is Michelle and I am 1/4 Puerto Rican, 1/4 Dominican, Cuban and Jewish!! How's that for a MUTT! Of course I say I'm Puerto Rican when asked... and in 7 days I'll have a REAL spanish name! THANK GOD..FINALLY!

OMG!! Haev you ever been there before? You guys will have so much fun. You are going in time for Carnivales, so watch out on Sundays because if you're walking around you might get soaked!!! Also, while in Lima try to go to a Pena Criolla. Live guitars, singers! I have a couple of places to recommend if you're interested!

No, I've never been there before! I'm so excited..there's a group of 6 of us girls. OMG, I didn't even realize about Carnivales. We're not going to be in Lima too long, but thanks for that tip. PLEASE don't tell me we're going to get soaked and then have flour thrown in our face. Colombians do that too and it's so annoying. When they won Copa America a couple of years ago, they did that to us and even dumped a whole thing of flour through my friend's sunroof. I know it's a cultural thing, but I really don't get it!!!!

edit: Thanks for the restaurant recommendation!!!! It sounds awesome and I'm gonna write it down to go.

Well that might happen to you, so just make sure to keep an eye out!!
Not sure whereabouts you guys are going to go in Lima, but if you head to Barranco, it is lined up with bars, nightclubs etc, Ask the driver to take you to the Peña Del Carajo, it is fun and they sometimes ask the audience to participate and will give away prizes, like a pitcher of beer!! Have fun and enjoy!!!!

We are thinking of going in May of next year!!
