As you can see - I am absolutely bored and procrastinating from doing work - so I made of list of past and future NRC brides so we can all know where to get info, reviews, opinions and pictures from. Hope this helps everyone! I am sure I missed some past brides and some future brides - I'll still look for more though...
too be honest, i saw it and said 'that is nice' it really didnt bug me at all - afterall, its just the lobby and i did think it made it feel more homey- i guess im the only one

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread
I'm really curious what it looks like in person -i was planning on taking all my pictures there (since my wedding is in Jan) so even though it is the lobby - it works as a dual purpose for me - i really wished the piano was still there - i think the piano probably makes it feel more mansion like -
Did anyone else question them?

How many tiers is the cake that the NRC offers?

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread
Honestly, when I saw it in person I didn't 'hate' the desk - it is a really pretty cherrywood which matches the molding in the lobby. However I do think it is a little big for the space. It could've been half the size and served the same purpose!
I really liked the piano in the lobby too When I first noticed it Ida said that it could be moved into the lobby for my wedding if I wanted it there. I just feel a little bad making them move a huge grand piano just because I am a bridezilla

I would feel the same way - plus i dont want to make the lobby smaller - uggh - as much as i love that i am getting married in jan - i also hate it because the limited space to take pictures is so aggravating!

AtticaQT, did you consider taking pictures at the Old Westbury Gardens? I know they have indoor areas. I think I am going to take my pictures there.

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread
I dont really like the lobby either. When my FH first saw it under construction, I got the impression it was going to be a bar, which I thought was a good idea. And i liked the piano in the lobby, b. c that is where people come in and get champagne and it is supposed to be on automatic. And I liked the sitting area that used to be in the lobby where the desk is.
But i really have no opinion on the matter.
PS- I attended the tasting in March with my parents and FH's parents, but FH was working and couldnt go. I asked if FH and I could attend the April tasting, and they said no. A tasting is for someone to verify the quality of the food. So since we have, no one can do it again. AND THERE IS NO DESSERT AT THE TASTING. NO COFFEE
But again, I have no opinion in the matter.

I hope my opinion didn't seem too harsh, I was just very disappointed.
I also liked the sitting area.
I think the piano in the cocktail room is nice, as long as there is still enough seating.
Does anyone know if they got it tuned and will any of you be using it instead of paying for cocktail hour music?
If they tuned it, I might

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread
Thank you soooo much for those digital pictures of the lobby and the waterfall, Wow, I guess the majority of us aren't that thrilled with the Lobby, it was so tasteful before with those couches and the piano, one reason why I liked the NRC so much was because of the minimal wood in the place, because a lot of the other places have the cherry and forest green look with the wood floors and gold fixtures. Kinda disappointed that they would do something so drastic, it's very dark against the neutral colors of the walls and floors. Hummm I guess there is nothing to do about it, except learn to Like it, what a bummer. I like the waterfall, I think they needed something else for outside so thats a plus. Thanks again for the pictures. By the way how many times do you girls go to the hall, I think I'm a little neglectfull in this area, I haven't been there since I signed my contract and paid the deposit.

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread
question...are you girls taking all of your pictures at NRC or are you going somewhere else?? Do you think there are enough grounds to only take pictures there...I am very torn....

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread
We are taking pics @ CW POST as well. It's such a beautiful campus-it's an old estate that someone used to live on (THE POST'S LOL) so it really does not look like a college like jessnyc711 said!
Thanks for posting those pics--the waterfall looks pretty! We saw the new lobby in person-it's okay--wasn't thrilled, but whatever-not a big deal!

Thanks for the new pictures! I am also thinking of getting a permit to take pics at Old Westbury Gardens. I heard the pics come out beautiful, but still haven't got a photographer yet....

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread
my photographer said that he's been taking people there to take wedding pictures at the campus, unless CW Post caught on and now stopped that, but I don't think so.....
