As you can see - I am absolutely bored and procrastinating from doing work - so I made of list of past and future NRC brides so we can all know where to get info, reviews, opinions and pictures from. Hope this helps everyone! I am sure I missed some past brides and some future brides - I'll still look for more though...
When I got married there in December I put framed pictured with candles and petals on the middle table in the lobby of our siblings, parents and grandparents wedding pictures. maybe that is a way you can do something to this NEW desk area that most people on here seem to not like.
I really like the waterfall and I like the desk as well. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the piano. We're hoping to have it put downstairs by the bathroom for our wedding.
As for the cake question - I think the amount of tiers is determined by the amount pf people you are having.
I'm not sure if I can do another tasting closer to the wedding - I don't know if I need to. I will taste a sample of the cake though.

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread
okay so i called the NRC and it is true: once you go for a tasting you can not go for another.
my wedding is in november, but i had planned on going april 28 for a tasting. doe sit matter that it is so far away from the wedding? i aked the girl over the phone and she thought as long as i took good notes, it wont matter, b/c the quality wont change. but what do you all think? should i reschedule?

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread
I don't think it matters. I went in Feb. and my wedding is is in October. The food was great and I loved the tasting. I never met anyone that had been to a wedding at the NR so I wsa concerned when we signed the contract, that is why we did a tasting so early. We picked out our entrees (filet mignon w/ porcini sauce, chicken tuscany, and tilapia w/ baby lobster sauce). To be honest, it is one thing I have checked off my list - which is a relief. One less thing to do as it gets closer to the big day!

Is anyone using a DJ rather than a band? If so, would you mind telling me who you are using. We're having trouble finding a 'not so cheesy one'.

We are also going to the tasting on April 28th! - and our wedding is not until May 2005! Our parents want to do it asap because they are not familiar with NRC and want to make sure the food is good - food is very important to our families! My only concern was if the menu changes, but if that does happen, I will rely on the opinions of the other NRC brides on the board!!

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread
Going to NRC today to make a payment. cant wait to see the fountain.
I am using a dj. They are called Top Hat Entertainment and I have never seen an ad for them in any magazine or heard them mentioned here. They have done three of my cousins weddings, thats why I booked them. Easy and done. No smoke machines, or giveaways, or a chatty MC. Just my opinion!!

I am using Vinny at High Voltage Sounds - he is great. He is a LIW vendor and is really affordable!

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread
It is offered on my Menu as an entree, so I'm assuming it still is... (I signed my contract this past January).

I think they still offer sea bass....it wasn't at the tasting though. At the tasting we had two types of salmon, chicken and steak and all the sauces so you could mix and match.

I met with Stephan's on the vendor list. I had a pretty bad experience. JMO.
