As you can see - I am absolutely bored and procrastinating from doing work - so I made of list of past and future NRC brides so we can all know where to get info, reviews, opinions and pictures from. Hope this helps everyone! I am sure I missed some past brides and some future brides - I'll still look for more though...
my cake wont be white - it will be chocolate and pink
we went to a wedding in august where the cake was chocolate and pink. very pretty color combination!

I just had them fax over a direction card - they changed them from what they used to have (i did a serach on here a previous bride had posted one) The directions look much better now -
I think i am just going to get the same thing printed up with the church on the reverse of it

i think as long as you're getting married there you can go, i asked the lady Ida there to call me when she knew when it was and she did the other day. try calling her and asking her about the nov 3rd tasting for future brides.

FH and I took a ride over there today. I was dancing in the lobby, I get so excited when I go there. We picked up the floor plan for table seating and we got the direction cards. They are nice.

you should make an appointment i think for the food tasting. when i went, they had names on the tables. i am not sure if there is a limit to how many can come.

I'm going to the November 3rd tasting - we've been booked for so long - and havent even tasted teh food that everyone is raving about. Our menu picking appointment is for November 16th! It seem way too close!

The Directional cards were very nice. The food tasting you have to schedule and let them know who your bringing, they normally allow the two sets of parents or substitute them with other family members. I would highly advise all upcoming brides to make use of the NRC grounds for photos, they really come out gorgous, if you have a sunny day in the fall - make sure you get outside. I was really amazed at some of the outside pictures that my photographer took. Like in the center of the driveway where they have those trees and some flowers-you would never think that we were in the driveway.

we are all set for the food tasting on the 3rd, i can't wait to taste all the food everyone is talking about. i'm so excited to just see the place again!! i fell in love with it the first time i went!!

hey ladies--are you guys doing 12 people to a table?? They say it's not squished and we kind of don't have a choice and have to have a lot of 12 person tables--we just don't want everyone to be uncomfortable
also, we decided on a square cake-with the layers off centered....chocolate outside and inside with raspberry filling! did someone advise against the square? they didn't sway me one way or the other when we met with them

Where are you or did you take your photographs after the ceremony/before reception?
Should I do them outside/inside at NRC or go elsewhere? Do you need permits to go elsewhere?

I was planning on taking pics at the NRC b/c the grounds are just so pretty!! My photographer friend said its great for pics.

we are taking them at the NRC outside/inside. everything is just so pretty. also we are having the ceremony there outside so we don't want to have to go elsewhere to take pics. all the pics i've seen from weddings there all look great!
