Official North Ritz Club Thread

Original post by AtticaQT

As you can see - I am absolutely bored and procrastinating from doing work - so I made of list of past and future NRC brides so we can all know where to get info, reviews, opinions and pictures from. Hope this helps everyone! I am sure I missed some past brides and some future brides - I'll still look for more though...

Hi Girls -

Where are you or did you take your photographs after the ceremony/before reception?

Should I do them outside/inside at NRC or go elsewhere? Do you need permits to go elsewhere?

I was just in a wedding party where we took pictures at Old Westbury Gardens (which is right up the road from NRC) and the pics were AMAZING. I love that place for pictures. The only downside is that it's kind of expensive. I think my friend paid around $500 just to reserve the site.

My photographer suggested the Oyster Bay Arboreteum to me as an alternative to Old Westbury Gardens because they are closed on my day to decorate for the holidays. I may just end up taking them at the NRC though. The work they have done on the grounds is beautiful. My FH loves the new waterfall.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

ETA: You do need a permit to take pics at OWG but I think the application is available online. I'm not sure about the Arboreteum. I should do some investigating...

My date is coming up and since it will be cold and dark; I looked around for places to take pics indoors. My friend took a lot of pics at NRC in the bridal suite b/c they were setting up in the lobby and the pics would interfere w/ the workers.

A lot of places want money and EAB may be closed the night of my wedding.

I'm spending the night of my wedding at the Fox Hollow Inn down the road, and they had no problem with me taking pictures indoors there.
Any of you looking for a Honeymoon suite after the wedding-It's gorgeous and there is no site fee for pictures. I requested an early check-in and I will be getting ready there as well (In a different room)
Just thought I'd share.

Okay - my wedding is officially 1 week away!! The NRC has been great and I can't wait to tell you all about it!!!

As for pics - I am taking most pictures before the ceremony and family pictures in the lobby before the cocktail hour. They said it wouldn't be a problem....

Congratulations,

As far a taking your pics at NRC. My sis got married there on Aug 29. If you can definitely take some outside if it's not too cold for you two. The photographers can stand the cold.

Best Wishes,

Thomas

The grounds at NRC are beautiful. I have seen plenty of pics online as well as when we went to NRC to look and the waterfall and the fountain in the lake are amazing in the pictures. Good Luck and have a great wedding. Hope you will post plenty of pics when you get back!

They have firelaces on all 3 floors and the hotel said if the lobby was busy on the main floor we can use the 2nd or 3rd floor lobbys.

Good Luck to all the upcoming brides... Can't wait to see pics.

I just wanted to pop in before I leave for my honeymoon and tell you that everything was perfect. The NRC was wonderful and everyone kept saying it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. The food was great, the service was wonderful, my cake was beautiful, and the hall looked unbelievable!!! None of you have a thing to worry about! I'll be back in 11 days to tell you all about it and share pictures!!!!!

Re: Official North Ritz Club Thread

All you girls are dropping one by one, I can't believe our day is finally coming around. I've got so much to do and so little time. I have to give my final count with payment, but I have a question..

Does anyone know if a 10 year old child can order an adult meal? Do they charge you for an adult or a child?
Also what did they offer the kids as a meal option? I have a full table of kids and some actually like to eat real food (steak)

Hey- are they still offering the Chilean SeaBass???

Good Luck to all the Brides to be
