I haven't been on the board much these days...been busy!

I thought I was falling behind but looks like I am right on track.

My BM's are ordering dresses this first sat. in may..below is the link the dress in garnet.

I know what invites I am getting I haven't done Limo's or favors yet...

I need help I want a unique wedding favor but I don't want to pay too much! Any suggestions?

Gorgeous dress!!!!! I'm doing xmas ornament favors. How about something edible? They are always a big hit!

Okay! Finally figured out the favors! We're doing a donation to the Komen BC Foundation in memory of my Mom and coffee scoops. Phew! So happy that is done!

Im doing a donation favor as well--american cancer society, are you going to print a scroll or card describing your donation??

my things to do for may:
-makeup trial
-finalize invites (i need to get them early to get them upstate to my mom to start calligraphy)
-start thinking about rehersal dinner
time is going by soooo fast!!

Hi girls...I haven't been on the boards much lately. Also haven't done anything wedding related since I ordered my dress in March.

Need to find BM dresses which I am going to look with my sisters next weekend. Hope to find something so we can order them and get that over with.

Anyone NOT doing favors? I have to say most weddings I've been to lately - there's been no favors and no one seems to notice or care. I thought favors were out or something and I didn't know it. I don't want to spend a lot on favors either if we do them. My FH saw those fall leaf wine charms...the Fall In Love set and he wanted to do those but they are too much money...we're having 250 people so I need something that doesn't cost too much. More and more people are telling me to pass out Krispy Kremes to people on their way out...I got that once at a wedding and it was a huge hit. When you're drunk and leaving and you get handed a box of 2 donuts - it's a nice treat for the ride home. I'll see. My FH's family are huge Krispy Kreme fans so they would probably love it.

I think I found an invite I want finally...I wanted a fall themed one and one that had chocolate brown on it somewhere but not too much...I'll take a picture of the sample tonight and post it tomorrow...it's from Not From a Box - great prices on there!

I booked my hair and makeup trial...I have a wedding to go to in June so I'm gonna have my trial done that day - might as well have somewhere to go!

OH and I did make some florist appts finally. Going to see Flower Michele and Signature Florist next Sat...then seeing Masters in RVC later in May. I want to try and check out a few more b/c I am really looking to cut cost in that area.

SO I feel like my big things right now are BM dresses and then flowers and invites. I only need limos to take us from my parents house to the hall...the ceremony and reception are in the same place.

OH - knew I had a question for you girls...where are you all staying the night of??? I want to do Garden City Hotel I think - probably so expensive though. Give me some ideas on that....my wedding is in Nassau County - south shore.

How are all the November girls doing? I got my bridesmaid dresses!!!! I posted on BHB but figured I'd share with you guys (I'm very excited to cross this off the list). Is anyone else not doing 'fall' colors??

I'm not doing fall colors. I'm doing 2 shades of light blue. I'm going with my girls to get their dresses in June.

We're doing invites in May as well. That and also ordering the favors. After that, I'm pretty much done for a couple of months.

There's a bride here that got married that had sunflowers as her bouquet I believe... I think her name was brooklyn.... something.. I'll try to remember, but try to do a search, her pics were very beautiful...
