I just picked up my invites today I am so excited, the RSVP date is 10/16!!! We have to finalize the addresses and then they are off to the caligrapher, the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses are in. I can't believe it, all the planning is slowly coming through!!! Four months from yesterday!!! It is getting freaky.

I can be the biggest cheeseball in the world, but last night I think I took the prize for the cheesiest. Now that I'm coming up on 100 days, I went to the bank and got 100 pennies. I put them in a bowl and told my FH each day we can take out a penny. I'm such a dork...

I can't believe it. I want to get the invites out by the middle of August - and that's so close! Finally got the tuxes done so now it's just the little things like the card box, hair pins, programs etc. I'm so jealous that everyone's shower is coming up. I want mine!! I don't know when it is but it's definately not in August so I have a while to wait.

I still have so much to do... It's scary that it's only 4 months away.

Still to do:
FH's Passport (he's in Iraq so I'm setting it up he Just has to go get it when he comes home)
Card Box
Hair
Make-up
MOB dress (hopefully this weekend)
Shoes
Undergarments
Garter
Programs
Decide what people with throw at the church
Finalize the guest list (get new addresses)
Book wedding night hotel
Book FH's hotel for week before wedding
Wrap favors
Order place card holders
Table numbers
Address invites
Get invites weighed
Finish the registry
Figure out the RD

It's all minor stuff but there's a lot of it left to do.

OMG....... I just compiled a list of all the things left to do and I still have so much left - it is going by too fast. I feel like I just had my engagement party. I'm kinda sad, b/c I'm going to miss this planning stuff - I just don't like to feel rushed. Probably not going to get to do this again ever.....hopefully!! I think I need to quit my job so i have more time... then I guess we wouldn't be able to pay for it.

Hey date twin! My RSVP date is 10/15/06, with the thanksgiving holiday and everyone coming in early from OOT I'm not going to have a lot of time right before the wedding.

picking my menu Tuesday 7/25/06.

WOW!! Your Save the dates......I didn't finish them but I sent some to the important people- I thought it was too late to get the rest out but maybe not...

My wedding is the day after yours and I'm not sending out invites until late Sept...doing it 8 weeks before.

AGH you're scaring me date twin...I haven't even ordered my invites yet and you're talking about sending them out a month from now!?!?!?! Am I the only one sending them out 8 weeks before? Seems like you're all sending them out much further in advance. I sent save the dates so people are aware...even though it's the holiday weekend...I don't feel I need to send them out sooner than 8 weeks.

I have two date twins!! I am sending mine out the first week of September. I am doing this only bc I have a lot of out of town guests...

I think that's perfect...that's about 8 weeks. That's what I'm doing also. My wedding is late November and I'm sending mine out late September. I also have a lot of out of town guests but I already sent them all save the dates a long time ago - so they've all decided if they're coming already and have already made travel arrangements...so I just feel no need to send them out sooner. Mine is over Thanksgiving weekend too so some people would send them out sooner b/c it's a holiday weekend...but again all my out of towners already made their plans...so I just feel there's no need to do it sooner.

yay! bellaeyes and i have another date twin!!

we're gonna order our invitations (225! ) hopefully by the end of this week- holy crap, thats the first week of august!

where did this summer go?!?!

well, i also havent begun to look for flowers or limos. i dont want to spend a ton of money on flowers, and i really only want roses (those arent really pricey, right?)

things we can check off include:

church
reception place (both done since dec, but it makes me feel good to be able to check things off)
band and dj
bridesmaid/jr bm and fg dresses (theyre actually in!)
my dress (here too!)
invitations by the end of the week


other than flowers and limo, what else is there? hmm. somebody clue me in please! and hurry- i dont have much time
