I finally got back on track with the wedding planning...I hit my 4 month mark yesterday...freaked me out a little that I still have so much to do!
Over the weekend I got a few things done: - Ordered ketubah - Ordered FG dresses - Got my 'something blue' (wearing a nice blue hanky panky thong!) - Booked ceremony music - Ordered Unity Candle - got my wedding band - got a ton of really nice silk leaves at Michael's that flower girls will drop instead of rose petals...will also sprinkle these on tables around the CP's with votives
Still need: - Ring Bearer pillows - bra, shoes for me - order yarmulkes - take engagement pics - FH's wedding band - he can't decide! - figure out who will cater our Thanksgiving rehearsal dinner for 75 people! (just realized what better place to ask for ideas than LIW...I will post on BHB board for suggestions on caterers)
AND I'm ordering invites either today or tomorrow!!!
If any of you are looking for nice silk leaves...go to Michael's. I had ordered some from Oriental Trading that I didn't like...also tried some from Terry's Village.com that I didn't like...they were too fake looking. The ones from Michael's are the nicest I have seen...they come only 20 in a bag I think for 99 cents a bag so I bought 20 bags. I might need more.
Happy 4 Month mark to all my Date Twins (and all the November girls!)
I'm glad I'm not the only who kicked into high gear at the four month mark!
I accomplished this weekend: MOB dress (YES!!!!!) Finished the registries Finalized the guest list Set up an appointment for the picture location Started calling for hair and make-up trials Started an aggressive work-out regimen (dress fittings in 2.5 months - let's get busy!!!!) Updated my website (not LIW but homemade!)
Still to Do: BP gifts (soon) Bridal Shoes (soon) Bridal Jewelry (soon) Bra/Garter/etc (soon) Book hotel room (soon) Book hair/make-up (soon) RD plans (soon) Address and send invites (probably 9/12/06 - only 9 weeks before wedding) Figure out what people are throwing (or not throwing) at the church (Oct) Programs (Oct) Menus - (Oct) Get engagement ring dipped - white gold thing(early Nov)

Im kind of freaking out a little bit about all that I have left to do......I finally sent out the rest of my STD's. I pulled out my invitation supplies to start my initations, I have so many ideas just so hard to pull them all together, and I have to word my invite - I didn't think it would be that hard but FH & I can't agree on wording. I'm starting to think that maybe I overestimated my time and wont have time to finish my DIY projects....
AC moore, this week has ring pillows, flower girl baskets, & signin & pen sets on Sale...I bought a book & pillow, as back up in case I don't finish MY DIY's. Also ALL paper & Stickers are 40% off, got alot of supplies.
We are also having trouble with invite wording...that is what's holding us up big time on placing the order. We are paying for the wedding ourselves so we're doing: Together with their parents My name and FH's name
then that's where we get stuck. Neither of want the very formal 'request the honour of your presence'....so we're thinking about doing this but not sure we love it...any other ideas for us???
Together with their parents My name and FH's name invite you to join them as they exchange marriage vows on Saturday, the....... yada, yada, yada...you know the rest!
Any other ideas? We had: invite you to join them at their marriage celebration
Seen that on a lot of websites as samples but we both feel like that sounds like we're already married and are just inviting people to come celebrate at a party with us. So torn!

Glad your shower was fun...
We saw a few online that we liked...but we decided to go into Zion Lion in New Hyde Park to see some in person. They ended up being able to order the one we really loved online for us...so we got it there. I think it was in the $300 range...most were. They are expensive! And I hear framing them costs even more! Yikes!
Thanks for the tips on wording the invites girls...I like those and will def. go with one of them!

You should check out the fall ideas thread on the Theme Weddings board. I got a lot of great ideas there for my fall theme wedding.

My BM's are in choc brown dresses and their boks will be all roses...black magic (those are the really dark red ones), a soft organge, and vendela (which is cream roses) - with red berries! It looks so beautiful. I had to pull in the cream roses to pick up the sash on my girl's dresses and the pearls I am giving them as gifts to wear. It looks really pretty. Haven't decided on my BOK yet though.
Def. check out the fall board - there are a ton of really pretty fall colored boks.
