I called the dj, video, flowers and photo. I have issues with when I can meet them so I figured I would head it off and start narrowing down days. Love living in NJ and planning a LI wedding with a FI that works nights...

Oh that's good to hear!!! I'm ordering some today - I think I'm going to pick them up because they are located near me. Did you get all black or different colors? I went for my first dress fitting last night. All went well but I do have one question on veils. I think I may have 2. One for the church and one for the reception. Does you guys plan on wearing a veil during the reception???

I got all black because it seemed the easiest way to go. Do you have any pics from your fitting? I'm wearing one veil but it has a detachable cathedral length which I'm wearing for the ceremony and pictures only. I'm not certain if I'll take the other veil off or not yet.

I'm impatient so I've been calling myself.

I finally started stuffing my invites....hope to finish and seal them all up tonight. Stupid question but what did you all use to seal them? I'm going to Staples at lunch and hopefully getting a glue stick or something that will be easy. So I am crossing my fingers that I will be all done with them tonight and can drop them at the post office in the morning. I am not hand cancelling...mailed one to myself and it arrived in perfect condition!

That's what I've been up to....oh and trying to finish all my shower thank you's! Have so many to write! Taking me a while.

What else...??? I need to start making appts with vendors. Florist first b/c that will be easiest so I'd like to get that done with. Band just sent me a letter asking me to fill in info for them so not even sure if I actually have to meet with them - may be fine with just speaking to them over the phone. I also need to meet with priest and rabbi very soon to go over the ceremony details so I can finish up my ceremony programs! That will probably be something I'm doing very last minute and will give me the most headache. I've started it but just with the BP info and stuff. Ordered beautiful program covers that match my invites - I'm just doing the inserts myself.

My bridal party gifts are this:

2 Best Men (FH's brother's)...1 is getting wine of the month club and the other is getting cigar of the month club. I know they will love it so they were easy.

My MOH and 1 BM who are both my sisters...giving them more b/c they're my sisters and they threw my shower themselves with my mom and it was the most amazing day/shower ever. I keep telling them they threw me the best shower I've ever been to. They went all out and I know they spent a fortune...they are also both older than me and have wealthy husbands so they've both been real generous and helping me out with some expenses for the wedding so I want to get them more than my other 2 BM's who are my friends. All 4 girls are getting day of jewelry which is a pearl necklace and earrings from Ann Taylor. I might get them a little duffel with their monograms from Lands End too. Then my 2 friends I'm giving them a gift certif to the place they are getting their hair and makeup done the day of. That's it for them.
Then my sister's I am either going to get them both something from Tiffany's like a necklace or a bracelet. OR since they both have all the jewelry they could want or need already...they are hard to shop for b/c they have everything....I may get them and myself tickets to A Chorus Line on Broadway. It comes out soon and we all loved the movie as kids. So it would be a nice night out for us 3 sisters together and I could take them to a nice dinner before the show.
I just can't decide - Tiffany jewelry or the show tix? What do you girls think? I should tell you they both drip in diamonds from all the nice jewelry their husbands have given them. So really I sort of feel like what do they need a piece of Tiffany's for? It would just be a nice casual piece for them to add to their collection. And they are both stay at home mom's so a night out in the city might be really nice for them....I am so torn!
I also bought all the girls $5 pashminas I got on the street in NYC!

Flower girls I am just getting them little bracelets with their names on them.
Ring bearers - no idea! Maybe take them to a hockey game or something fun like that.

I need ideas for our readers and people siging the ketubah. Something small - maybe picture frames or something??? Any ideas???

I used a glue stick...worked like a charm. No way I was licking those suckers.

I just got a call from the compant that I ordered my favors from who told me that I could not get 150 of them . So I am back to square one with the favors. I am so upset!!!

I need some help on the seating chart issue.
We have three sets of parents. My parents and immediate family would be sitted at table one correct???and his mom and step dad table two and his dad and stepdad at table three. Is this how it works? Is anyone using the seating chart on this site? If so, did you find it helpful? What do you girls recommend? TIA

Edited: We are using CD's as favors and the cover of the CD will have the table number.
I just want to know what to present to the hall when I meet with them soon..

Hello to my Nov girls!

I have been in San Diego but the invites are out and the RSVPs are coming in but I'm not home to get them.

And my job is likely going to keep me out here for an extended period of time (like thru Dec).

So sorry I haven't been posting lately- I'm still around, but I'm just trying to keep everything going.

2 months to go!!!!!

soo my shower is sunday.. i get tons of RSVPs to the wedding everyday.. i think everyone is coming Yikes lol...just some last minute things,, and i am done thank god..

I found these beautiful glasses at the Lenox outlet out east on clearance (a set of 4 glasses for only $5) and their computer showed that they had 400 sets remaining, however when I ordered them I got a call the next day that they actually only have about 70 sets left . Oh well, I will have to keep looking.

Date Twins!!!!! My invitations went out Wednesday and everyone is calling me saying they received it already. I am so excited! It looks like we are all on the same timeline with the invites (that is great because at least I know I was not late with them).
