Yeah I want him to at least pick out what he wants the guys to wear.

Did anyone go with their FH's to help pick out the tuxedo's or is everyone leaving that up to the what he wants to pick? I want to leave it up to him, but I am afraid. What did everyone else do?

I went with him and there were other brides there with their FH's

I showed FH pictures of what I liked and told him to go look, but he ended up going to a few different places and then he found what he liked- but needed my approval & the swatch to match the guys ties with the Bm's dresses- We signed the contract with Tuxedo Park last night.

hi - hope it's okay that i'm crashing your board. i was originally an october 2007 bride, but in the last two weeks i've become a november 06 bride. so exactly in one month i'll be wed also!!!

thanks. surprisingly no!!! i really put the pedal to the metal and and in the last less-than-two-weeks everything is pretty much done. i just have to find an officiant that will do our central park ceremony and MAYBE get strings for central park. the ONLY thing i kept from my original wedding was the favors. thankfully it was really the only thing, besides the std's, that i had ordered ahead of time. but everything is diff, location, type of wedding, colors, flowers, etc.

i'm really excited. i ordered my invites online yesterday, so hopefully i'll have them by early next week.

I went with him and pointed out things I liked and showed the guy that worked there the dress swatches. Then I went out and sat in the car while he picked what he wanted. We both picked the groomsmen tuxes but he wanted his to be somewhat of a surprise. So basically he picked it on his own, with guidance and strong suggestions from me

Actually, contrary to how I thought I would feel, I'm really excited!!! Of course, this is subject to change on a daily basis at this point.

Yes, the 'less than a month' is freaking me out!!!!!

I still feel like I have SO much to do! Here's my list:

Tuxedos
Rings
Favors
BP Gifts
Parent Gifts
Unity Candle
Toasting Glasses
Book RD (actually we booked it, we just have to pick out a menu with them)

How's everyone else doing?

I am planning on doing Unity Candle, Toasting Glasses, RD Menu, and BP Gifts this weekend. HOPEFULLY! And I know what I want my favor to be (I finally narrowed it down), I just have to get a price on them and order them.

YIKES you just scared me...I haven't even said 'my wedding is next month' to anyone yet...I still just say it's on Nov. 25th....which is NEXT MONTH! AGH!

we are getting there....im starting to get really excited! this week i had my 2nd fitting (went great!!!), met with the church to go over our music, saw our sample centerpiece (i will try to post pics soon), finished the design for our program and we are picking our menu and meeting with our deacon this weekend......its all starting to come together......oh, i forgot, we got our marriage license this morning!!! crazy!!!!!

I got nervous yesterday when my catering hall called me to make my menu appt. That was a little weird. I could not believe how fast that time flew by!

I just made that appt as well...to do the menu. But I still have so many other appts to make....florist,
priest and rabbi. not sure I am meeting with band or photog - can discuss those things over email and phone which is good. I can't stand all these appts!!!

I need to finalize BP and parent gifts.
And decide on favors - we're doing something edible. I'm either baking myself (pumpkin muffins) or buying them from Dunkin Donuts...then I'll just wrap them all up with a cute little tag. That sounds easier than me baking them myself...I would need to do it ahead of time and really don't have the freezer space for all of them.

We have our rings....I can't think of anything else to do.
OH yes need to buy stuff for bathroom baskets but my florist puts it together for me.
Also I think I want to do the slipper basket so need to order those.

AND programs - I have the covers...I'm doing the inserts but I know this will be done last minute b/c I have to finalize ceremony details.

UGH - lots to do I guess!

-make some kind of card box
-tux alterations
-vests for the GMs
-placecards
-seating chart
-glass to break
-apples for OOT bags
-2 more fittings
-go through ceremony and vows with rabbi

and that's just what I can think of off hand!!

Edited to add that we still need to finalize the shuttle transportation....and the list goes on and on!

Oh after reading some of your posts I totally forgot about the other things I still have to do. I still have to do menu, first fitting (scheduled for Oct. 12), programs, bathroom baskets, card box, meeting with photographer, videographer, DJ, priest, seating chart and cards, pick out my jewelry, hair and make-up trials and then make appts for my date

Hey ladies!!!! Things have been really crazy here lately....

FH and I went to see a house the other day and really liked it! We are putting an offer on it tomorrow... I wasn't expecting to do this before the wedding, but it just sort of happened... I was watching a house and the price came down, and hopefull (fingers Crossed) things work out ok.... I'm so nervous, scared confused, dizzy and all around crazed... I'm literally going nuts and I haven't slept more than 5 hours in the passed 2 days... I still have some wedding things to do, but mainly I'm almost done!!!!
