Hey Cami girl! I went and looked at hotels today to block for the VYC. The courtyard by republic airport is really nice and it's about 15-20 min from VYC. I'm waiting for pricing.....I'll let you know if you're interested.

Hey finally a October 17, 2008 date twin!! I Still have to do flowers, favors, tuxes, honeymoon, rings, and other small things. Can't wait until October 2008!!!

Bumping this and asking a question ...
I booked flowers and limo last week AND got my shoes ... does anyone else not have a clue as to who their officiant is going to be?????? FH wants a very 'sterile' ceremony for lack of a better word ... nothing too personal, nothing sappy .. and he really doesn't want to meet any ministers either. I want to have this done by end of March and feel like I don't even know where to start!!!
Jen, I booked my officiant back in Sept. b/c I started to panic that what if I have everything but don't have anyone to marry us..But I panic over everything....at that time, Pastor April was booked already for my date. We are using Rev. Deb who we did meet with and I felt she would customize your ceremony to be whatever you want it to be. She asked if we wanted any religion, no religion, etc...or did we want anything personalized or just very simple and generic (sort to speak).

Lucky0510 and SparkyandAng - thanks for the recommendations ... FH doesn't want a woman ... I got a recommendation about a judge, might call him ... I kinda just want someone very nice and friendly who will do a standard ceremony and put touches of us in there ... nothing too personal, just a couple of lines about us ... like 'from meeting at Mulcahy's to getting engaged in Savannah, GA, Matt and Jenn have always known that ... ' whatever ... you know what I mean? Something that makes it ring true for US and something that makes it obvious that this guy didn't just recite a memorized ceremony.

Hi girls!!!
We are about 4 months away, depending on when your date is ... what have you girls been doing?
I recently: - picked a BM dress (only have one, MOH, getting it from David's) - got a gift for my MOH - diamond necklace, not her DOJ - got MOH's day-of purse (matches dress perfectly) - bought a garter on ebay for $7 including shipping - looked at invitations (may have decided on one, but want to look a bit more)
I need to: - order invites by mid June - talk to FILs about guest list!!!! - buy a veil - buy day of earrings - buy MOH day of earrings - finish MOH, GM gifts - buy parent gifts - book car for HM, buy flight for mid-honeymoon (from one Alaska city to another, have flights there and back) - book hair trial - decide on tux - arrange RD - meet with band to discuss music - get MOH to order FG dress - decide on if we want our friend's son to be the RB? - Get mom and MOG to buy dresses - buy shower / RD dresses - buy candles for centerpieces - buy guestbook - buy FH gifts - make OOT bags
Small things mostly! (Long list, but they are really not HUGE things except for invites)

ok....I'm feeling better as i now have : MY DRESS ORDERED - as of two weeks ago :) :) LEFT TO DO ... YIKES Invitations get Bridesmaids dresses ordered (this week hopefully) Flower girls dress Tuxes MOB and MOG dress Find a florist - yikes on this finish off my attire - bra, jewelry, hair stuff, vail etc gifts for bridal party - i have some stuff need to finish it off favors OOT Gift bags and all that other little detail stuff that will move onto the list in the coming months....

Hey....
I booked my HM finally for Antigua Sandals!!! Ordered and received invites, my step mother is going to address them for me and send them! I got my wedding band this past weekend FH found one he liked but is going to wait to order because he has been losing weight!
Still need: DOJ BM DOJ Marriage Licesne when the time comes Finalize the donations to the american cancer society Decide if I want to order place cards Finalize ceremony information I feel like I am forgetting many things!!!!

Just finished stuffing the last invite!!! First batch going out tomorrow. Second batch Friday and then third batch Saturday!
We are doing them in smaller batches to avoid attitude at the post office.

I think that's it really!! Of course the biggest part is packing - we are coming to NY from NC so i have wedding packing, hmoon packing and just other stuff!!
