Plataforma-in the city on 48th street between 8&9th ave. Its brazilian churascarria style...for those that don't know what that is, basically they have a big buffet which such great food, definitely gotta try the rice and cheese. And they also come around with lots of different meats to your table, you have these coaster like cards one side red one side green, they'll keep giving you meat non-stop while its on green, and if you dont want anymore put it on red. The meat is so good too, its steak, pork, sausages and so on. The place itself is real nice too and they have a live band. They'll also come around with wine for you, and dessert and again you have as much as you want...its all an inclusive price, it used to be $35 per person which was great for everything you got, now it went up to $65 per person.
Ole-in the city on 2nd ave between 24th and 25th street, its a spanish restaurant. The food is very good, great atmosphere...they have opera singers, and other live music, alot of people will even get up and dance, definitely a good place to go for good and to stay and have drinks for a while and have a good time
I have to 2nd Platforma that place is awesome. The salad bar alone can fill me up let alone all the meat the come around with.
Also Chalet Alpina in Forest Hills on Metropolitan Ave. Very good German Food.
Heidelbergs in the city also has good German Food.
Awesome chicken wings First Edition on Bell Blvd!!!!

ahhh man im gonna post in here god knows how many times hahahah...here i just pasted what i wrote to jess in her restaurant help thread
Trattoria L'incontro- astoria(italian) and EXCELLENT
718(astoria) spaniard and french fusion...trendy but small and cozy place and amazing food, very different
The crabhouse, on the water in LIC-has been around forever, casual relaxed place, cool old skool decor and AMAZING seafood, ahhh sooo good.
Mardi gras ON Austin street(creole) it can be a little spicy so def take this into consideration.
I would suggest cabana but they dont take reservations and the wait is always long, so if you dont mind waiting. EXCELLENT CUBAN FOOD
Long island
Don Juans-old country road, it is mexican food and pretty good and good atmosphere
Then theres places like the lux cafe, cheesecake factory, PF changs, but they can get hectic.
Benihana's
Or how about Jonathon's on Jericho turnpike, in new hyde park, its supposed to be good.
The crabhouse is soo good!

Mezo Mezo (Astoria) has really good food, that is FH's fav restuarant and go there all the time.
Ovilia (Astoria) just opened, its a great place, nice decor and the best food. My Fh's frend is the owner
