just booked at the Sand Castle a few weeks ago!! Super excited!!! I know this is a little premature, but does anyone know any information about the honeymoon in greece? They didn't put all-inclusive in our contract, but I saw some girls said theres was?!?!

Also- is anyone having their ceremony at the Sand Castle? Is your bridal party walking down the stairs into the gardens to get to the ceremony? I'm kind of worried I'm going to fall down in my heels and long dress!!!

Congrats!!!
I heard that the hotel is all-inclusive... (I think its supposed to be a surprise maybe). There are some threads where girls have posted their honeymoon pix.
My ceremony is February so I'm not leaving the veranda! If you feel uncomfortable maybe talk to your BM to see if you have other options for your entrance!

Re: *~~ Official Sand Castle Thread ~~*

They told me when I booked, that if I booked that same day they would make the hotel all inclusive, I would double check bc they didn't make it seem that everyone got that.

Re: *~~ Official Sand Castle Thread ~~*

We really didnt talk much about the honeymoon, other than the fact that were going to be using it in July instead of Oct. I vaguly rmember her saying something like breakfast included, but i never really asked much more. I'll probably email Dina when i get a chance and get more info. All inclusive would be sweet, especially for the booze, LOL.

You can find some pictures on Trip Advisor.

Also, you can search 'sandcastle honeymoon' or something along those lines in the forum search

Re: *~~ Official Sand Castle Thread ~~*

unless they changed policies since 2010 (w/c i doubt), the hotel is definitely all-inclusive!!! Drinks are included but i dont think liquor is included... It's a family-type resort and I didnt even notice anyone drinking while we were there...

Btw, i'm making a review of d whole thing + greek hm! Will post it soon as i'm done picking photos 2 share!

Re: *~~ Official Sand Castle Thread ~~*

I can't wait to see a review, and to hear that its all inclusive sounds AWESOME. My FH and I are big drinkers though, but i can deal with liquor not being included (its not on cruises and we make do).

I checked out trip advisor for reviews and pics, there were a lot up there.

Re: *~~ Official Sand Castle Thread ~~*

Great review Cleo! thanks!

How are the rest of the sand castle brides doing?
FH and I actually went back with my dad and MOH (sister) last week and fell in love with it all over again. the last time we were there we hadn't even officially booked so it was so great to go back and get to enjoy everything instead of scrutinizing every detail.

also we decided we're going to use the tree CPs- at first i kind of overlooked them, but when i got CP quotes from florists and then my mom went to the showcase and told me the price, i decided it was worth a second look. saw them all set up and i was so excited to use them. they are so different and look awesome in the room.

i think we have to work on our hotel block next. i know there have already been posts about this but where are you ladies having a block (if at all)?

Hope everyone's doing well!!!

Re: *~~ Official Sand Castle Thread ~~*

we booked camelot-- Joe was really nice to work with, the cars looked so well-kept and we liked the price.

I've heard mixed reviews on la quinta. do you know someone who had a bad experience? or is there another reason you suggest not using them?

there are a bunch of other hotels near there in like garden city/uniondale. the big concern for me is shuttles.

Re: *~~ Official Sand Castle Thread ~~*

I have just read more negative reviews than positive reviews on them. My biggest thing is shuttles as well! Let me know if u find a good one with shuttles and same here

Re: *~~ Official Sand Castle Thread ~~*

Just booked Viana Hotel and Spa for our block and our rooms. If you book there book with Terrence and not Joann, she is very rude and Terrence gave us better rates. And if you visit the hotel, have Louis give you a tour! he is awesome!!!

Re: *~~ Official Sand Castle Thread ~~*

yes! we went to la quinta, we were horrified. the front desk people were practically making out behind the counter and were like treating us like we were interrupting, and when we asked to see a room they were like um why? I wouldnt send my enemy there to stay.

we also saw the hyatt place, I have to say this hotel was spectacular and the pricing was amazing about $100 a night and the amenities, staff and included things were great. They also were friendly and the hotel is barely a year old so it was immaculate and beautifully done inside. However the outside is totally surrounded by industrial buildings (like storage facilities) there were no trees around it and that it why I didnt want to book there because i didnt feel happy about the area. also, the rooms were very spacious but each room's window had a big radiator between the window and bed so there was no room for some pics in front of the window. (not a big deal but I want to take some getting ready room pics.

Then, we went to Viana. and besides the rude reservations person named Joann that i dealt with on the phone, the hotel itself and staff were absolutely sonderful and so friendly!!! the hotel just opened october 2010 so its brand new and gorgeous! its very pretty inside for photos and the pricing as well is very very good. If you decide to book with them, call terrence he is very nice and accomodating. If it wasnt for him, I was not going to book there because of how rude Joann was to me over the phone. Terrence apologized and gave us even better rates and set everything up very quickly. I am so excited to stay there

Keep in mind, we originally had our hotel rooms booked for Garden city hotel and had to cancel because I did not like their no photos allowed policy and the stuck up attitude they have there. Plus the rooms are really old and although its nice bc its antique, I was looking for something friendlier and more modern. So we cancelled and Im glad because Viana is gorgeous!!!

Re: *~~ Official Sand Castle Thread ~~*

Just went to the Sand Castle tonight to make a payment and spoke to Loula, they are making a few changes (again) and I am so excited to see what else they will come up with by November. I love that they keep updating the place
Btw, she also mentioned they're changing the centerpieces a little (I forgot to take a picture of them ) it's nothing major but IMO makes them look soo much better!! Just thought I'd share
