They're covering the walls (the part with the castle cut out) with the same sheer fabric that hangs from the ceiling...Loula showed me a pic of it on her phone and it looks great.

Yeah, all the walls where the castle cut out is...it's going to look amazing! The LED lights will still be behind there, so it will light up all the fabric, as well as the walls.

wow i am so glad to hear they are covering the part of the walls with the castle cutouts... that was the only thing holding me back from booking the sand castle before i did. THIS JUST MADE ME SOOO INCREDIBLY HAPPY!!!! i wish i could see a picture of what the place will look like! when is this supposed to be done by? I'm guessing it will be done for my wedding (next June 3rd). does anyone else know what other changes they are making??

can't believe they are making the place even better!!!!

I wasn't crazy about the cut outs either
she didn't mention any dates but since she told me about it I'm guessing it'll be done by November
They're in the process of changing the flowers on the centerpieces....instead of the 3 'balls' of flowers, they're adding individual white silk flowers to 75% of the branch tips...she showed me a few samples and I thought they looked awesome!! I can't wait to see what else they accomplish by the time I get married!!!

I can not wait to see how the ballroom looks!!!
I love the changes they keep making. I also heard the walls on the main floor in the back by the offices and hospitality lounge will be changed. The lobby has marble, where as the back part is wallpaper so I think they are making all of the walls marble

I'm actually kinda sad about it :( maybe bc I'm a control freak but I am afraid they may change things and I like the old look better. IMO I think the castle look is cute and partially why I booked there. When I was growing up I always said I wanted to get married in a castle and this was my little castle ;)

From the picture Loula showed me, you'll still be able to see most the castle cut out since they're using a white/almost see through chiffon type of material, it's hard to explain but picture the material hanging from the ceiling and getting tucked into the cut out....I think it'll still look castle like and gorgeous

Now I'm so disappointed I didn't go this weekend! I was going to go on Thursday to drop off a payment but my dog's been sick

Hi CtoBe! Yes, I go by Catherine and thanks for the well wishes about my Bailey! She's doing much better

I really want to go soon, I think I'm gonna try to get out there next month. I'll try to remember to bring a camera and take pics of any changes I see and I'll post them!

The only thing they have a sample of is the new centerpieces...they haven't added the fabric to the walls as of yet, as far as I know they haven't set a date for it...my BM showed me a pic on her phone of what it will look like. I wish I would've took pics for you girls

I can't wait to see what else they're going to do!!

I liked the old ones too but I always thought they looked very wintery, so I'm open to change!!

ahhh sorry guys, turns out we're not going to sand castle this weekend. FILs can't make it. might not make it there til august now
