and the next grand one is the thursday after labor day...I'll be on LI at some point Labor Day weekend but I won't be able to make it up again that thursday!! boo long-distance planning.

The showcase was nice! I like the smaller ones-its more intimate and I just love being there!
I booked Genesis last night and I will make appts to talk to deja vu and pristine events

I went to SC yesterday and the new centerpieces are GORGEOUS!!! I actually saw one with fresh flowers added to it and it really makes a difference. Also, I asked Deana about the issues with the honeymoon and she said that the contract with the Polish company will not be renewed, but she wasn't sure when the ending date would be.

Blondybride: I asked about the drapes and she said that they can roll them all the way up if you don't want them there, but you can still see the castle cut outs through them and underneath them

I have a few pics, I'll post them when I get home




OMG thank God i am with Blondy Bride I am not really digging it... I want those suckers rolled up!!

Just wanted to say Hi and add myself to this thread! Just went to a mini showcase at the Sand Castle last night. Any ideas on centerpieces for those oval tables? I don't want too much of the budget going to flowers, so I'm thinking a mix of flowers and candles to lengthen the look of the centerpieces. Has anyone booked Genesis Events? I did like them, they were a bit loud, but I think they can work on it. Since we just started I'm wondering if $2000 for a basic package is reasonable?? They can plug into the surround sound and deal with the LED lighting and the event is longer than typical weddings at other halls, so I'm wondering if that is why the basic price seems high to me. Love the Sand Castle, this has always been my dream wedding place, but the bulk of the budget goes there! Any advice?

Welcome!! When I went there, someone had added flowers to the bottom of the centerpieces and had a string of flowers going down each branch and it looked really great! I'm with you- I don't want to break the bank of flowers, but that looked pretty inexpensive and added a lot of color to them.

I know a bunch of people booked with Genesis- I'm not gonna be much help there, since I'm going with a band

I think it just means your names will be on there, don't think they offer any color options. The one they showed me was ivory. Still very pretty though

Sand Castle was on Four Weddings yesterday afternoon..& I was kinda disappointed because they didnt really show how beautiful it actually is! They just rushed through it, but i did get to see the martini bar entrance
