Official Swan Club thread

I just wanted to say hello to all my fellow Swan Club brides.

How is your planning coming along?

Hello 'Swannie' (I copied that from another bride....it's so cute!)

Planning is going really well....not too much to do right now...of course, that will change as we get closer!

We met with our minister on Monday evening -he'll be officiating at our ceremony at the Swan Club.

He's absolutely wonderful and I know he'll help to make our ceremony very special.

I look forward to our first planning session with the Swan Club. I guess that will take place sometime this summer....I have so many questions!

I just booked there for a Sat. afternoon wedding. Thats all we have done... but we still have over a year. Ill be getting in gear shortly.

Just wanted to say HI. Right now I am working on seating assignments. I can't believe in 9 days our wedding will finally be here. I think I am the most recent Swan Club bride so I'l make sure to give a full review of everything.

June26: I belive we did it about a month b/4 the Wedding. I called them, but I am pretty sure they said in another week they were going to call me anyway to set up the appointment.

HEY!!!!! I am so excited to see other Swan CLub brides.... quick question... on your invitations are you wording that the Swan Club is located in Roslyn Harbor or Glenwood Landing... I have seen it written both ways... has anyone gotten direction cards from them...did they write roslyn harbor or glenwood landing?

What room is everyone in??
I am in the Camelot room....

I am in the small room... After Deck room I believe. Only have 50 people in my party.

Anyone else besides myself having the actual ceremony on site there?

I am going to use Roslyn Harbor. Sounds better.

I just sent out my invites. I got the direction cards from them also. It says Roslyn Harbor.

I decided to use Glenwood Landing on my invitations since that's the address on the Swan Club brochure.....

I checked their website and they show both of these addresses:

Shore Road
Glenwood Landing, NY

Glenwood Road & Scudders Lane
Roslyn Harbor, NY

We're having our wedding ceremony in the Pavillion (located next to the gardens and the outside cocktail hour patios) and our reception in the Contessa room.

For our invites we used

Glenwood Road & Scudders Lane
Roslyn Harbor, NY

We just went by the direction card.

Our ceremoney is in what I call the carriage house, with all the 'swoopy' things that hang from the ceiling. We are also in the Contessa room.

I am so excited, I just can't believe I have 8 days to go.

For your ceremony, are you having the white 'tool' fabric draped across the ceiling?

I think they charge about $500 - but it looks really pretty so I think we're going to having it added.

Hi Leslie, yes the white tool, a.k.a. 'Swoopy things'. We aren't going w/the flower package they offer and we didn't get any flowers from our florist either. We just love the effect of the tool.

I'm cracking up right now....I like your description of the 'carriage house w/ the swoopy things...'

I was having the hardest time trying to figure out what to call the Pavillion - carriage house is perfect! (the only thing I could come up with was 'grey building' by the gardens which sounds absolutely horrible!!)

I am glad I now know a more proper way to explain everything. Some people just weren't getting what 'swoopy things' are.

I'm in the Contessa Room now too, orginally was planning to have it in the After Deck, but I was finding myself omitting really important people in my life from my invite list, so between my parents and I we are paying for the bigger room YAY!!
