I just wanted to say hello to all my fellow Swan Club brides.

How is your planning coming along?

that's weird...i heard about the whole bridal attendant long before my day came and i was a week after you.

They messed up on a couple of key things on our day and I let it pass but this just adds to the dissapointment.

My initial short review posted on 'Swan Club Brides'

Hey Ladies. I got married yesterday The food was great and the infamous cake looked beautiful and tasted great. At the last minute the Maitre'D was switched on us (He is new at the Swan Club) and to be truly honest with you if it wasn't for our MC I would have been lost! Our Maitre'D was absent most of the time. When he was there he was great but I just assumed that our Maitre'D would be there by our side the entire time. Our guests didn't know where to go and they were not greeted upon entering the reception room. The placecards were not put in order and the favors weren't distributed the way they were suppose to. We also got there an hour early to take pictures and they wouldn't let us because they said another bride was outside. I had previously informed them that my fiance and I were not going to see each other until the ceremony so I needed to take as many pictures as possible. My fiance now husband waited 15 minutes outside before being greeted. I on the other hand was greeted immediately. I really felt that the wedding upstairs was more important to the Swan Club than ours. I couldnt' take pictures because of that bride and my orginal Maitre'D was switched on me and given to her. No bride should feel that way. Nonetheless, I didn't let that get in the way of our day. I didn't complain and I didn't tell our Maitre'd how we really felt. My husband says that we shouldn't have given him anything because he was gone most of the night. My mother in law had to help the guests with the placecard tables and give out the extra favors that weren't placed correctly on the tables. She shouldn't have to do that. My personalized aisle runner was not placed out at during the ceremony. They said it wasn't long enough but they were the ones that provided it for me to personalize. I think the truth is that they forgot to do it and used that as an excuse. They tried to make it up by having it out for us during the reception. But come on. I hope that you ladies will make sure you speak to someone about making sure this doesn't happen to you! But I'm sure you will have a beautiful day! Each wedding is different and I hope they go above and beyond on your wedding day the way they should have gone out for us. I will post pictures when I get back from my honeymoon. Best wishes for a wonderful wedding

I had a similar issue... but I chose to stay with the Contessa room, because my DJ had been to other weddings at the SC and said that space was really never an issue and it would avoid having dance floor pics that look empty.

Swan06...can I take a guess and say you had Edgar? He was absent-minded when I met him...that's why I INSISTED that Paul be put back on my wedding!

I remembered what you had commented and I was relieved to find out that Paul was my maitre'd. I really like working with him and he is very funny! But I will continue to insist on having him since I already discussed a lot of my details with him.

i dont' know that a church will let you just do a rehearsal...the SC doesn't allow them like you're thinking..but about 15 minutes before the ceremony, they do run you through it. you can try maybe having one at a hotel where guests are staying? it works out fine to do it right before.

I am now leaning towards Swan Club (i might become a swannie).
Can you guys give an idea of what your packages included.

Their packages are really good. Ours has 5 hours open bar, champagne toast, CH with 8 chafing dishes of food, 2 carving stations, cheese& fruit displays, and about 12 types of passed appetizers. Then you get a 3 course dinner with 4 choices of entrees, the wedding cake and a viennese table. And their food is delicious!

Yup, FH and I got that, all for a GREAT price for a Saturday night June wedding. Also, we booked within 48 hours of getting a price quote and they gave us a wedding night hotel room at the Roslyn Claremont ! ! !

Re: Official Swan Club thread

Need some help from past swannies who had their reception in the Camelot room. I really want high centerpieces for the tables but the ceilings seem low in the camelot room where the tables are. Do you think I can still have high centerpieces. Does anyone have pics they can share???

CLMon7906 Posted:

Re: Official Swan Club thread

You can totally do high centerpieces...I've seen it done in there. I did just petals and candles....but you can do anything. The ceiling has no bearing on the tables....you won't hit the ceiling...other halls have similar heights and I've seen some tall centerpieces on tables.

We had the Camelot Room....and I wanted low CPs loooooong before we booked.

Re: Official Swan Club thread

Thanks for the reassurance! I was also thinking maybe I’ll do a combo of high and low centerpieces we'll see.

Oh...btw i have another question. What is the max amount of people you can put at a table in the camelot room?

TIA!!!

Re: Official Swan Club thread

max is 220.

only 3 tables can hold 12 people. the 2 tables that are on each side of the 'sweetheart table' and then the table that is on the corner of the dancefloor....the corner farthest from the sweetheart table.

all other tables are 10 max.
