Okay I have so many questions... High or low centerpieces? I love the new renovations at VC but i have no idea why they took away the chandeliers. I decided to do high and low since I think all high might not be a good idea with the lower ceilings. I was also considerign hanging kissing balls from the ceiling but most florists I've met with said this is a waste of $$.

I'm doing high and low. we actualy booked a florist today and could not be happier with what we are getting! i love the renovations as well. looks gorgeous! the dance floor is beautiful!

Hi girls!!! We are doing low CPs. Mostly to save money! I felt the ceilings were on the low side, so tall CPs weren't necessary.

i'm going to do low CP's..its more cost effective. I feel like flowers are such a waste of the budget. how is everyone findig the flower pricing to be??
i wish they still had the chandeliers...i feel like it would add a little something!!!
We are getting uplighting...i feel like it will look sooo good in that room since its all white. we aren't getting it from there, i felt like it was too expensive for a flip of a switch.
Anyone doing an actual vineyard theme??? I wasn't going to but then FH decided he wanted to do that.
FYI - We inquired about switching the rooms...having the CH in the ballroom and having the reception in the CH room, just because I feel like the CH room is SOOOO nice and people will be there throughout the reception anyway. Bill said Absolutely we can do it....the only issue is that the CH room will only fit 125 people sitting for a dinner and we will have more than that. but i wanted to share that with everyone that that is an option.

I'm only doing high and low b/c I wanted high and low since I started planning and we got a great price! we decided to use homeside florist in Riverhead (it's on the corner of 25 and 105). my family has used them for years and they always do a beautiful job, plus I wanted to give a local business our business. We are doing spring flowers. the girls bouquets will be gerbers in multi colors and this cool green spikey mum thing (the bm dresses are goign to be a bright kelly green color). the centerpieces are going to be tons of differnt spring flowers in all bright colors. I like the idea of outside reception to but think it might be chilly in teh beginning of june still. Sept should be perfect! i'm doing uplighting through them. we are also gettign a chocolate fountain if we get more than 135 people! we guaranteed 125. FH loves the chocolate fountain so much. we are not diogn a vineyard theme really. perhaps I will incorporate into the invites adn STD's adn stuff but I dont want to the cake to have the grapes. what are you doing to incorporate the theme in?

I will be doing a vineyard theme. I wanted all high centerpieces but I'm going for high and low for cost and low ceilings. I have a large bridal party (22) and I got an amazing deal for $2,100 at b u r t o n s. I am hoping to have no more than 180 at the wedding. For space reasons!
I am going to price out having wine bottle favors.Im not sure if we will use the VC ones but they said they could neg. the price since we will have a lot of people. FH was like what is the budget for this $10 pp? I laughed at him. I was like $5 would be pushing it .
We are going to have the uplighting. But we negotiated on this with VC. I might want to pay for more but I'm telling myself that's ridiculous
Kendra- the recption in the cocktail room sounds absotulely beautiful. If I was having a small wedding I would totally have it in there. But I think it would need to be like 100 or less.

You did your cake tasting already!!! OMG! I have to have mine!!!
I checked out the hotels last Friday, and we thought the Hilton was the nicer hotel, and it was cheaper! The place is so nice, the rooms are so classy looking. Pics on their site don't do it justice. Breakfast there is only $12 for the buffet, and they are going to send me prices for a private brunch. I also asked if they can do private dinners and what those prices are. The only thing is they don't have a bridal suite, so I had to let it go, I'm going to try to ask if I can get an adjoining room with a friend so we can just open the door and my girls will have more space. Let me know if you want more info, when I get it I can FM you!

They had cake at the tasting for the RH!!! SOOOO YUMMY!!!
We haven't gone to see the hotels but we got the best prices at the Hilton Garden Inn and FH wants to book it!!
