Kleinfelds was amazing!!!! I got my dress!! i tried on about 8...and didnt try on anymore after the dress i picked because i knew it was the one!!

I got a jeweled sash/belt to wear around my waist, a head band, and a cathedral veil. Now it really feels real!

When I went on the tour they told me there is always an arrangement provided for the table. Not sure if it's real or fake.
I am putting family photos in the room after the entrance.

ah ok all good ideas thanks girls!! Did you ladies get any arrangements for the perimeter of the coctail hour? I know on the actual tables and buffett areas they have things but not in the 'window' areas.

nope. i didn't think i needed them. also, i'm getting married in november so there's a chance those flaps will be down anyway

I am getting an arrangement for the piano to go with my place cards (I want to do the wine corks with the cards in it) I wanted something that matched with my colors. I wanted to do the perimeter of the cocktail hour but I wasn't sure what to do! And every florist I went to said they have never done something there like that before but we could decide on something together. So I don't know what to do!
I know for cocktail hour they put the glass bowls of water with a flower in it. I have a strict no rose rule with my florist (nothing against them I just am not a fan) Does anyone know what type of flower they put in the water? If it's a rose do you think Bill will let me pick something different?

its def a rose, i have a picture of it in one of my albums bc i went to a wedding there so take a look! i am doing some high pieces, about 4, in every other 'window' on the outside deck, and i am 99% sure I am going to do my own floral centerpiece for the piano bc i dont know what VC will have.
I love the corks!! if i was doing seating cards i would def do that!!

That's how I felt about the piece for the piano! I don't know what they give you so I don't really want to 'trust it' haha I would rather just get a piece in my colors.
Do you have any pictures of what you are doing in the window boxes? I am going to see a sample of the 2 centerpieces we are getting on October 17th and I want to discuss the cocktail hour with her in more depth when I go in. Because now that I saw the rose in the glass bowl in your album I am probably going to need a something for the tables for cocktail hour now too. The whole rose/fern feel doesn't really go with my flower feel at all. Roses and those types of greenery are the two types of things I said I didn't want so I don't want them to be the first thing people see when they get to VC!!
