I love the church, but am a little worried about the priest. He's so difficult to understand. We went to mass there one day and could hardly amke out what he was saying........

Oh well... As long as FH and I understand him, right??

OHHHH I didn't know the re was a deacon and that he was an option....And yes, a full mass!

I emailed the organist 2 days ago but she hasn't responded yet. I figured I'd wait until tomorrow and then call her.

I've always just called John so for me thats best haha.... a decon is marrying me as well! I though he was much more down to earth, and didnt yell at us for living together! haha

I got in touch with her a few months ago and she told me to come to mass and listen to a few pieces after to choose
Emailed her yesterday and havnt heard back to see if she is available after mass on sunday
Will prob call but when i did that before she never called back
The deacon is affiliated with good counsel
We have to get married by a deacon bc fh hasnt had all his sacraments

ok-well hopefully she'll get in touch with me soon. If you see her at mass this weekend, let her know I emailed her and am DYING to speak to her I'm really not too picky...

We're having the rehersal at Meeting House Creek Inn. My FMIL booked it- I've never eaten there or seen it for that matter. Do you know it? How is it? BE HONEST!! Where are you having yours?

And do you know the deal with the cake from VC? Who's the baker? Do I contact them directly? I'm very confused on that!

Meeting house is nice!! We were thinking of it as its right on the water. Ive heard mixed reviews abour the food some good some bad. We went there with a work party for lunch and it was decent, nothing to write home about but good

I'm working on invitations right now. Just got back from a meeting with Danielle Cooley. So sweet and a former VC bride!

I also want to start crafting which makes FH nervous.

If you look at linens let me know if they have light pink and sand or beige colors!

Are they still making people wait 6 weeks before?

I spoke to John today and made my appointment for 3/12 to do my tasting

I asked about the cake- It comes from create a cake in port jeff- you can go there on your own to taste cakes. you have to make an appt with ellen- she's only there wed and sun (per John)

Then bring VC a picture of how you want the cake decorated and they will collaborate with create a cake to discuss details- size, shape, etc...

Don't know if this is news to anyone but me, but hopefully it will help someone :)

No Neither of us are from out east- his parents moved to Brookhaven a few years ago and we fell in love with the vineyards. We go a few times a year- so it made sense to plan our wedding out there.

I think I'm gonna try to go to meeting house for dinner when I go for my tasting- this way if I hate it I can try to convince FMIL to change it. I may not care though- It's the one aspect of the wedding that I didn't have to stress about!!

Fh is from brookhaven originally and his parents live there!!!

So I just need to vent... I am still having flower issues!!! So i am good with my bouquet, but my BM's... right now I have all white and I dont know if I should add some color to them, like lavendar. My BM dresses are peacock blue, like a teal but closer to blue... I dont get why this is the hardest part for me!!! Just needed to vent and get some insight Xo

So much done in the last few days:

Called Bakery and meeting with Ellen next Sunday to taste cake and pick out our cake!!! She said they have 2 books we can look through of included cakes and also to bring pictures of cakes we like to see what they can do!!!

We have almost all of the ceremony stuff done for church
Met with Organist and picked out Music
Ordered DO Bracelet
Got our Cake Topper ordered
Ordered Card Box
unity Candle arrived
I made our bathroom baskets
Decorated bubbles basket--just need to get the bubbles and ribbon to tie on them
FSIL sent me a copy of our menu design---I LOVE
Found out FIL's are paying for rehersal dinner so we started to look around at nicer places--i'm hoping for Jedadiah Hawkins will come back with a doable price!

It feels sooo real now!!!

Wow! You are way ahead of me! We're not doing the final menu stuff until around May 1st! And probably won't do the cake until April.

I was going to do the feathers...then I really didnt like it... My bouquet is all white as well...so we have white all over!! ugh! I dont know yet....

Thats awesome you got so much done!!!!
